An attack by a dog is especially hard to overcome. Dogs are supposed to protect us not at tact us. Rottweiler are known for turning on their masters even after years of companionship. These attracts reportedly are unprovoked and totally unexpected. The best thing to do is to stay away from attract dogs they will smell your fear and attract you. It is very unfortunate that people continue to have and subject poor unsuspecting neighbors to viscious breeds of dogs. If this dog was yours get rid of it by having it put to sleep so that it can NEVER attact another person. If this dog belongs to someone else report the attact to the police and demand that the dog be contained or put to sleep and that the owner pays for all medical and pscy apointments

Well... that sounds like a mental health issue. If you have an unresolved issue that is interfering with your life, you might want to consider counseling to get your life back in order.
My wife was attacked by a English Sheep dog in a vet's waiting room. Hopefully from now on she will keep a good distance from all strange dogs, *and* do what I do, which is keep one of our Mastiffs between me and *any* strange dog. A dog would have to be completely wacky to try to get at someone who is behind their Mastiff. Discretion is wisdom now-adays.

When I was 4, my cousins German Shepperd broke his chain and jumped on top of me. He only wanted to play, but when you're 4 and have a dog on top of you whose nails are digging into your knees, it tends to be traumatizing. I was terrified of dogs after that, whenever I visited my grandmother, she would lock the dog behind a gated room, as time went by I saw that the dog wouldn't hurt me and I slowly was able to not be afraid of dogs.
Best thing for you is to see a therapist to help you get over your fears or insecurities. Visit someone with a friendly dog and you'll eventually get over your trauma. Slow steps, but you need to talk to someone. Best wishes.
