Yes I agree with the answers I'm getting, this isn't really "depression," especially since that word sounds so medical. Its more of a "Blah" feeling. I'll just stick with playing a good game of Dance Dance Revolution as my exercise, get me a small energizing food or drink, call a friend, then clean up. Referring to one of the answers, it really does help a bunch to go to bed early and wake up even before the sun comes up. Waking up late is already depressing enough, you've slept through half the day and very much ruined your morning. Basically I'll get up int he morning and do something constructive all day. Make sure I get a good breakfast and work on something. Socialize helps too.
P.S Never get addicted to the computer...

If it's just a random blah feeling, try exercising. Exercise will increase the release of seritonin which will make you feel better.
If you have that blah feeling for more than two week or if you notice that it comes and goes with the seasons you may want to seek professional help. There are several forms of depression and you don't have to be suicidal to be considered depressed. Many people who get up everyday, go to work, and seem to have a good life are depressed so go by what feels normal to you. If you haven't felt "normal" in a while or have long bouts of not feeling normal, you may need something more than a home remedy.

Chocolate. Cinema. Swimming. A good book. Bubble bath and foot lotion. A walk in the park. Buying a new t-shirt from ebay. An ear piercing. Writing a haiku. Ironing your best outfit. Massage.
Or you could stop calling it depression and just say you've "got the blues"... it sounds less medical, more cool and soulful!

A lot of people experience the blues in the winter - it has to do with sunlight. Just try to get outside and get exposed to the sunlight more. Maybe, going out and taking a 15 minute walk during your lunch break everyday. Trying to go out on the weekends for fresh air.

Get out and do something. If you live in an area where the weather is decent, go out for a walk or ride a bike. If its crappy outside...go rent a funny movie...call a friend and go out for a beer and a burger...whatever you want. But sitting around doing nothing definitely doesn't help.

Sex with a super model cures any case of the blues or depression instantly.
You'll thank me later...
I would tell you how to get the super model in bed in the first place but you didn't ask me that.

Exercise. Exercise has been shown to be as effective as anti-depressants. It's hard to exercise when you're feeling depressed, but the rewards are great.
