I wanted to know if this has happened with your baby girl. My little one is 13 months old and is very possesive. When I try to hold my husband in bed and she is there she swats me away or she will literally wedge herself between us. She will even give me dirty looks if I hold him and cuddle with him. Yesterday she climbed on him in bed and said mine, mine!. Does anyone out there have the same problem as if your daughter believes that daddy is for her and no one else?

She doesnt sleep with us. She sleeps in her crib. In the morning we take her out and we all hang out together for a little bit before dad or myself goes to work

This is just a phase. Around this age they sometimes get possesive of one parent over the other. Don't let it stop from cuddling your hubby. She'll be back to normal in a couple months.

My son does the does the same thing, though he is never in our bed. But he is currently growing through a phase similar to this. I don't force him, but instead i include my husband in everything. If my son doesn't want to give his dad a hug, i say "okay, but i am going to give daddy a big hug and kiss." 9 out of 10 times, my son joins in and ends up having a blast with his dad - to the point were he likes giving us both hugs at the same time, like a big family bear hug. i think the key is not to blow it out of proportion because your daughter will learn that this behavior gets a reaction, but rather make an effort to be affectionate as a family.

It's just a phase all kids go through at some point. She's learned a new word and likes to use it.

My advice: Put her in her OWN bed from now on.

Well my son does the same thing. It's probably a phase and will pass.
