If you have TV that has max resolution which can support 1080i than the 1080i is going to be better. But as I know the max resolution for 32" panel usually is 1366x768. Which mean your 1080i signal will down scale to fit the max resolution.

Yes. I have a 32 inch Sharp Aquos, and the 1080i setting looks much better. The 6ms refresh rate makes the 1080i look really good.

There is no real difference between 720P and 1080I... 1080 I means "interlaced" and will not display a much better picture then the progressive scan.

Not really. 1080i is best at 40" and up. 1080p is best at 50" and up. That help?
