First of all....don't listen to any of the suggestions made so far.
Wash your face and dry it thoroughly with a towel. If the zit is close to the surface, squeeze it gently. Then wash your face again and dry it. If it is somewhat under the skin, you can take a needle and flame sterilize it with a lighter. Then gently pierce the skin at its highest point where the zit is. Do this only once. If it works, you can drain the zit as usual. If not, you can cause the zit to rise to the surface using a poultice. A poultice is a substance that draws infection out of an area. The best poultice to use is neosporin ointment. Take a thick glob of the ointment and place it over the zit after you have washed and dried the area thoroughly. Then take a bandaid and place it over the ointment. Leave this on overnight. The next morning, the zit should either have come to a head or be significantly closer to the surface.
After you have drain the zit, wash and dry the area thoroughly. Apply neosporin ointment to the area. This will dramatically speed up the healing of the area.
Under no circumstances, place the following items on your face. They either do nothing or are harmful to your skin....anything with alcohol or acetone in it, anything with benzyl peroxide in it, toothpaste, almost all over the counter remedies for acne, moisturizer of any kind, any types of cremes, oils or ointments except antibacterial ointments like neosporin, or if you have access to it, bactroban. Do not scratch the zits, pick at them, rub them or wash them excessively. Do not force them to pop when they are not ready (GENTLY drain them, don't rip and tear at the skin to get them to open or they can scar and will take a long time to heal if you do that anyway).
If your zits are really bad, go see a dermatologist. Although about 100% of over the counter remedies for acne are either worthless or harmful, a dermatologist has access to a bunch of treatments that are highly effective.

Put a zit medication on them like Clean & Clear gel. If it is overnight, you can get an acne mask, like Neutrogena Acne Mask, and put it on just on the zit and leave it overnight. The combination of medication + not letting any air in will make it go away faster. Just on the zit, though, or you'll get a massive burn on your face.

Dont pop your zits! it leaves a really nasty scar, just wash your face with st ives apricot scrub every night before you go to bed, then put some clearasol on your zits. It will disappear in about two to three days. Trust me that's what I do and my face is very smooth and zit free!!!

Hi,
I am a dermatologist by profession and within a careeer of 10 years I have seen lots of acne problems. According to me Red and white pimples are the worst and painful. Acneprone skin is very sensitive, even if you touch it once the redness will increase with itching. According to me there is no magical way to heal your pimples over night as this is the puffed part of your skin due to the bacteria.
In simple words try to improve your diet and have lots of water that helps in healingg process. Un-necessary oily food should be avoided to get a healthy spotless skin.

drink lots of water, don't touch your face, don't overwash your face cuz it causes more oil which causes more zits, and put some medication on the pimple twice a day. o yea and DO NOT pop them it only makes it worse and it can leave an ugly scar

Get Bye Bye Blemish anti acne serum - put a drop on a mini bandaid and put the bandaids on overnight. Your zits will be flatter and not red in the morning.

Easiest way to get rid of pimples:
Honey mask - the honey has germ killing qualities, making pimples less noticable. Also, honey is a great moisturiser, making complexion more even.
Lemon Juice - lemon juice will kill the bacteria in the pimples, making them dissapear in 2-3 days.
Yogurt mask - yogurt is slightly acidic, which kills bacteria.
NOTE; leave masks on for 10 - 15 minutes.

Hey I read this in a magazine and told my son about it (he is 17)
he tried it and said it really does work. Get visine drops(eye drops) and put a few drops on your pimple. This takes the red
out and really does help it to disappear sooner. My son swears
by it.
