Prayer is very important. Prayer is communication with God. If you have a relationship with Jesus you would understand this. For me prayer is not just asking the Lord for what I need, it is talking to Him and praying for people like yourself who are lost in this world. The Lord hears the prayers of believers, he can't always hear prayers from those who are entagled in sin so He uses people like myself to pray for those people as well. It is not at all a matter of loving ourselves so much, I give my time to pray for the lost, confused, and the broken hearted. Please don't be so hard on us prayer warriors, it may be someone like us, that prevents you from getting in a accident one of these days.

I don't pray very often. But I think the point of prayer is to accomplish a few things.

From a meditational perspective, it helps to clear your mind and thats a good exercise to do.

Secondly, it helps you to humble yourse;f' recognizing that there is a higher power helps you see yourself in a different perspective; and being humble is never a bad thing.

Third, it helps you remember what are the things you DO have, so when you pray, it may help you sort through what you need and what you want.

Just vocalizing some of your thoughts helps you sort through them.

Perhaps one point of prayer is that if you hear yourself, you can find an answer within.

Because if we pray we get more good than evil. God possesses everything, He doesn't need anything from us so praying is a form a begging and praising His greatness and in return we get His love. Even to obtain friendship an love from the opposite gender we also use this tactic of begging and praising, what to speak of the Supreme.

No such thing as "she" He is the father. Praying is an action part of faith and connecting it to Gods word. Creating power to overcome ..stand. fulfill what he has for your life, and for others around you, with out it its lip service. Praying is a top weapon that is cherished by the Father and from the mouth confession is life or death, you choose whice one you want. Praying breaks down all strongholds and breaks every yoke thats placed on your neck. What comes from it is deliverance and a transformed life, salvation by grace. I pray your life is subjected to that transformation by the love of The Father and redemption of Christ.

Prayer gives us an opportunity to align our will with the will of God. When we pray, God can give us answers to our questions through the Holy Spirit. Also, sometimes God has blessings He wants to give us, but we must ask in order to get them.

Pray because God loves to hear us talking to Him. We can talk to the Creator whenever we want to. Prayer is very powerful. I love praying because it gives me someone to talk to. And How cool is that that it happens to be tha tLord of all creation!!!!?

Evil is never part of God's plan. Evil, by definition, is a departure from God's plan, participation in behaviors that are directly opposed to God's plan. With God's grace we can avoid such destructive behaviors, and that, in addition to worshipping the Creator, is why we pray - to ask God for His grace in our lives.

a person should pray to give thanks, not to ask for material things. Sometimes people just need to get things off their chest so why not talk to God? If something if amiss in your life, we pray to get God to listen to us and hopefully take mercy on our desires, or forgiveness for things we have done.

Your logic is flawed.

Just because God knows the future does not mean that he planned it to happen the way it did.

God gave us the power in prayer needed to change the course of history.

Read your Bible, zombie.

Peace

People pray so they can pretend someone's listening- it's an important part of the self-delusional process of diety worship.
