I have found that on most kitchen products, even dishwashing soap, aluminum foil, freezer bags, saran wrap, etc....have kosher symbols (like a circled U, or circled COR 267) on the packaging. I know these symbols represent that the product is kosher, but why on things that people don't eat? This makes no apparent sense!

I have a new stove that is certified as Kosher. I'm no expert, but for strict Jewish people, I know certain food products have to be Kosher (per a rabbi). It's in how the items are prepared. I'm guessing it's the same for certain non-edible cooking items.

Soap is typically made by treating animal fat with lye. An observant Jew will not want to use soap that has been made from hog fat, or from animals that have not been slaughtered under the kosher rules (they require an instant, pain-free killing of the animal. For instance. the slaughterer's knife must be as sharp as possible and without any nicks in the edge that could cause extra suffering to the animal.)

So an observant Jew will only use soap that has been made under Kosher supervision. Some soaps do not use animal fat at all - they might use olive or vegetable oil, or they might be detergents instead of soap. For them, the Kosher symbol indicates that there is nothing involved in the manufacture that is in conflict with the Kosher rules.

The other items you mentioned are intended to be in contact with food, and the Kosher symbol indicates that they have not been manufactured or treated with non-Kosher materials.

It has nothing to do with being "blessed by a rabbi" and everything to do with supervision of the product to insure that it did not come in contact with pork or other unclean products. Since you are Muslim I'm sure you would be upset if you found that the kitchen sponges you purchased to scrub your cookware were made using pig products. By purchasing kitchen sponges that carry a kosher symbol you can be sure that they are appropriate for you to use as well.

In kosher homes of Orthdox Jews, everything that enters the kitchen or comes in contact with dishes has to be kosher.

Some plastic products are treated with porcine (swine) derived oils. All dishes and utensil used for kosher or Halal cooking must not be contaminated with non-kosher food stuffs.

Soap gets into the dishes, which touch food. Food goes on foil, in bags, etc. If those were coated with horse fat, we'd be in trouble.
And stoves mean that there's a certain way to set it for Sabbath so it doesn't turn off after 12 hours.

Because it is the biggest Rabbinnical strong arm scam on the American people in all of history. Immagine that American are required to pay taxes to Jewish Rabbi's which may be against the Constitution and illegal in America , but the governemtn which is controlled by Jewish interest will do nothing to stop this scam upon the American people.

Here is why:

The Kosher " Tax " PDF

The Kosher “Tax”
Aren’t we paying enough taxes?

If you buy a product with a "U" in a circle you are paying taxes to:Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations (http://www.ou.org )

If you purchase a product with a "K" in a circle you are paying taxes to :Committee for the Furtherance of Torah Observance (http://www.ok.org) Thats right you are paying for their equivelent of Bible class and research against your will!

If you buy a product with a "K" in a triangle you are paying taxes to:Rabbi Ralbag Kosher

IF you buy a product with a "K" in a star, you are paying taxes to:Star-K Kosher http://www.star-k.org

If you buy a product with a thickened "K" with a half moon in front og the (K you are paying taxes to :Beverly Hills Kosher

KOSHER - ANOTHER RELIGIOUS RIP OFF!

Each item you buy that has a kosher mark on it cost you additional money. Even some non-food items are certified kosher by these greedy charlatans! Why should someone who doesn't believe in the Jewish and Islamic superstition of "kosher" pay into the pocket of a revealed religionist???

The total dollars these rabbis rake in has to be an enormous amount based on the fact that in just one year, 1999, over $130 BILLION was spent on kosher products!!! And as anyone with common sense knows, the corporations who pay these ridiculous fees don't eat the cost themselves! They pass it on to you and me!

The 'Kosher Nostra Scam'
On The American Consumer
http://www.rense.com/general24/koshernos...

"The Petition to End Kosher Certification Labels and to End the Involvement of the Federal Food & Drug Admistration's Participation"
While we understand that it everyone’s right to practice one’s religious beliefs, we also feel the F.D.A. should have no dealings with the certification of food and products with such groups for the following reasons:

The separation of church and state

The use of the term “org”, which is supposed to imply a “not for profit group”.

We feel these groups of “kosher certifiers” are nothing more than a way to bilk money out of companies to gain their certifications.

While approximately only 2 percent United States of America (5,800,000) is Jewish, we feel that we, the consumers, and/or manufacturers of foodstuffs and non-edible items, should NOT be subject to this charade and fleecing.

Futhermore, we are taxpayers who have to foot the bill for the involvment which the F.D.A. has in such practices.

These “kosher certifiers” charge a fee to have a symbol such as a
“U” or “K” or “P” along with other symbols to be placed on products of which we are all WELL aware! This cost is past on to the consumer and we shall not bear it.

Furthermore, we have the lists of the companies that have complied with what we like to term “Kosher Nostra”, and intend to boycott these companies.

Companies such as General Mills, General Foods and Proctor and Gamble for starters. We as non-Jews will not be subjugated to this tyranny any longer. We will buy off brands, bulk foods et al--until this matter is resolved. We shall also be contacting the above mentioned companies via petition.

Yes it is the FDA which is funded buy your tax dollars that allow these crooks to stong arm companies into their filthy protection racket that the American consumer is forced to pay. What are we as tax payers paying the FDA for if they can not do their job and allow crimminals to stong arm the companies into paying preotection money and bilk the American consumer at the tune of billions of dollars simply because they are Jewish. We must all stand up to these companies and demand thay stop with the tax on our food stuff and the extra tax on non food stuff that is payed to a single religious groups and not to our American government. We must boycott them and we must also spread the word far and wide to everyone until the people of American become so angered that this practice is stopped. Do it quick and copy and paste this because the Jewish cabal is powerful and will have this answer removed by using their most famous word they always use to defend their guilt......., that being that this information is somehow anti-semetic. Spread the word and never let this rest. Let is be a continual thorn in their side. Contact congress and the business and demand they stop or you will boycott their product! Get hundreds more to do it. Spread this news to every web site that you possibly can so that overwhelms the American people with the truth of this Rabbinical scam of theft to the American peoples. Lets stop these SOB criminals in their tracks ! Lets do it this year in 2007. REad Titus 1:13-14 and see why GOd said you must nevr trust these Rabbi's, for GOdsaid in this scripture that they will pervert the truth of his word for their own gain, and they will tell myths to confuse the people, lies and we are to rebuke them daily!
