Vitamin C is water soluble and washes through and out of the body. It is very hard to have too much Vitamin C; when I get a cold I take about 15,000mgs/day.

The answer varies between different medical professionals. Actually, the amount of Vitamin C that is too much also varies. Some doctore recommend extreme doses to cure cancer, etc. Vitamin C is water soluble. Pretty much, you pee it out-yellow pee. Some vitamins are harmful if you take too much, but it is difficult to take too much Vitamin C.

Vitamin C is one of the safer vitamins, but it is not without risks in overdose. A small fraction of Vitamin C is converted to oxalate in the body. Oxalate is one component of stones that form in the kidneys or gall bladder. Studies have shown that a 3g daily dose of Vitamin C (a very large dose) doubles the amount of oxalate passing through the kidneys. You may conclude that it increases the risk of kidney stones or gallstones.

What I've heard is that, since your body does not store Vitamin C, it's very difficult to have "too much" Vit.C--- but not impossible. Too much vitamin C, if I recall correctly from nutrition classes past, can lead to kidney stones. Someone else correct me if I'm wrong.

Nothing or diarrhea. Usually nothing, as it is water soluble and you pee it out. If you pound your system with a huge amount of vitamin c, it will trigger diarrhea. Some people use this as a form of systemic purging or cleansing - See http://www.perque.com/pdfs/Pt_Ascorbate_Slush_FIN.pdf
