Funny about that, my mom asked me the same question only days ago. We (as in daughters) don't mean to try and run our mothers life. It's just sometimes we can see outside the square and love you mom's so much we really only want to help you. We don't intentionally mean to try and run your lives. We are just trying to protect you. Not from anything pacific. You moms looked after us for so long now I guess we want to look after you.

Try explaining to your daughters that you are quite capable of making your own decissions and if you need help they will be the first people you will ask. Your a very lucky woman to have daughters who love you that much. I only hope my kids feel the same when they grow up. Yes I think it would drive me nuts too but I will have that secret smile knowing they love me.

Good gracious, another Mom with same problem as me! My grown daughter and son seem to need to know what I am doing with who and where all the time. (am divorced) I don't think they see that I am all grown up, and am more than just a Mom but a woman too. I am trying to work up the guts to tell them nicely, that they chose their life, their ways, and I don't question them, so I will ask for the same from them.
