Yes, it sounds like depression. First of all, it's great that you don't do drugs. I suggest seeing a doctor, but also try this. Keep a journal. Write down what went on in your day and how you felt about it. It's an amazing release. Most of the time it seems so much more trivial once you get it out and read it back. Be honest with yourself! You are writing it only for you. I can tell by your writing that you are intelligent. Seek help. Once you get the snowball off the "negative" side of the hill and start it rolling down the "positive" side, you will be surprised at the rate of your recovery. Don't feel ashamed about seeking help or if you end up having to take meds. Good luck!

Over the last five years I had begun to have increasingly withdraw into a downward spiral of depression..
But now with the method I can fully focus my energy and thoughts into a decisive line on how to make my life better constantly. And it works like magic! I'm beginning to attract people to me once again and things have just been looking up since then.

Yes, this is most definitely DEPRESSION. Your story sounds like my life as a teenager. For myself, I spent high school extremely depressed (even thought about suicide), thought that no one could possible love me or want me around. Thought I was the ugliest, most worthless piece of crap on the face of the earth. Slept a lot, stayed in my room a lot, cried every single day. But my parents were unaware of anything being wrong and I had to fight my way through it on my own.
But at least your dad feels that something is wrong. Talk to him about what you're feeling and ask to see a doctor about it. You don't have to see a psychologist (at least not right away), your regular doctor can diagnose this and prescribe treatment.
Do this for yourself, so you can enjoy life and your friends, and so your family can enjoy you. What you're feeling is nothing to be ashamed of!!!!!
1 in 4 people experience depression in their life times.

Yes this is depression and you need to go to the doctor so they can put you on a anti-depressent or so you can go to counseling, you need to treat this while you are still young and living at home, i did not face this until i was an adult, and i quit caring and quit going to work, and allowed everything to crash! I had a hard time getting back into the real world after 6 months of laying in bed.. Get help now!

Yes they are hun. I think you should see your doctor. i have suffered with depression myself and it's not healthy and it's certainly not easy to live with. the doctor may be able to put you on mediaction, it worked for me and does for many people. Is there n e thin that may have caused this depression hun? I think you should speak to your family who are obviously worried about you but may not understand depression this will help you cos you already got a support mechanism in place, your family are there for you if you just ask :)

sometimes i feel like that too. i'm like not happy and nothing seems funny and my personality goes flat. anyways, give it some time. if you're still like that after a while, maybe you do have depression.
~Best of luck, hope you get through this!
