This guy in my class used to be really nice to me for a while, and one day, someone remarked to me he likes me. The next day, one of my guy friends blurted out to some people I like him (too?), and his friend told him. He started to ignore me, but he'll stare and glance at me a lot. I also would "flirt" (talk to one of my guy friends) a lot in front of him. And his close friends know I like him, and one of my friends remarked she caught him "following" me several times to my classes, but I keep thinking it's a coincendence, and someone said he looks at me differently....But he stares randomly a lot, about each of the times he looked at me, I knew it wasn't random. I've heard he's shy, and most people say he's nice. Now, when I think about it, he hasn't asked me out, so I think he led me on. Any ideas?

I really like him, but I just think he doesn't like me since I think he would have said something to me if his friends told him. A lot of people know how I feel about him, and my friend told me if a guy really liked you (and they knew how you felt), they'd talk to you.....I didn't know he'd take my "flirting" so seriously.......

This is easier than you're making it. I assume you're young, and relatively inexperienced at dating. The easiest and most adult thing to do is to stop involving other people in your relationships, and treat this man like you would want to be treated, with kindness and respect (I'm sure you wouldn't want other people to inject themselves into your relationships). And talk to him without putting pressure on him, just like you treat your other male friends. Become friends. If he's as shy as you think he is, you're making life easier for the both of you.

Sounds like you are leading him on. Flirting with other guy's is not the way to get any ones attention. Grow up, act natural and be nice. He is probably sizing you up to see what kind of girl you are.
