Kabbalah is Jewish theology plain and simple. It is not a self help guide or a means to "feel good" about yourself. In recent times many non-Jews have taken to the study of Kabbalah- I suppose because its philosophical and technical understanding of G-d and the Universe is related in a depth and brevity that other systems don't share (although this is speculation). Some people may be enamored by its apparent mysticism and the coverage it has received from Hollywood celebrities. However, Kabbalah is still obscure from most people. The popular web sites that claim to expound its secrets are fraudulent- the Rabbi's have declared so themselves. As a Jews and a practicing Kabbalist I can tell you that it is impossible to learn Kabbalah unless you are under the teaching of a qualified Rabbi. Further, the Kabbalah is not a beneficial study for non-Jews in that the purpose of the Kabbalah is to help Jews connect to G-d through Judaism. How does a non-Jew benefit from this? Judaism doesn't proselityze and discourages any would be converts, hence the Kabbalah doesn't provide an introduction to Judaism for non-Jews either.

If you want self-help then go to your local bookstore and buy a book on psychology.

Kabbalah is for those who want to achieve self healing, serve others, and contribute to a positive evolution of humankind. You can heal yourself and you can develop yourself in many positive ways. Healing closes all wounds, paving the way for self development, thereby expanding your consciousness.
