I work in a library, here are some of the questions we got throughout the years:
1. What is the number for 9-1-1?
2. We are open today (MLK Day) and we have been answering the phone all day "Are you open?" (No, we just came in to answer the phones!)
3. A patron wanted help with a trip to the Holy Land. She wanted to go for free. She didn't want to go by ship or plane!
4. We have the Federal and State tax forms on a large table in our lobby. Patrons pass the table to get up the stairs or take the elevator to the other floors. Patrons will bring the state tax booklets with them and come up the stairs. The state booklet has on the front OHIO INCOME TAX BOOKLET. It never fails, someone will ask, "Don't you have any booklets/tax forms for Ohio"? (while holding the booklet in their hands)
5. I worked at a Rectory for a Catholic Church back in the 70s. We would get calls- "What time is Midnight Mass?" (This was when Midnight Mass was at, you guessed it, Midnight.
Now, what do you think. Are there stupid questions? You be the judge!

People with common sense knows that no question is stupid and that is a common sense.
No question is stupid because every question has an answer to it. A question cannot exist without an answer and an answer cannot exist without a question.
P.s. No one is stupid. We label others stupid because we think we are better than them. Since no one is stupid, naturally no one ask stupid questions.

Common sense also suggests that the world is flat, time moves at the same rate no matter what your velocity, and royalty checks don't require advanced calculus. None of those are strictly true, though.
