1 Corinthians 14: 34 women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35 If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

1 Tim. 2: 11 Let a woman learn in peace, fully submitted; 12 but I do not permit a woman to teach a man or exercise authority over him; rather, she is to remain at peace.

We are considered equal read the parable of the noble woman.
Also IIcorintihians: Men are called to love their wives as the lord loves is church. People tend to just pick and choose what they want to read from the bible then assign what they think it means to it without really finding out the whole story. We were created as a helper not less or greater than but equal. As it should be.
Woman is not with out man Man is not without woman and all is nothing without God

Yeah it's true, i just copied and pasted this a few questions ago, but:

1 Corinthians 14: 34 women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35 If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

1 Tim. 2: 11 Let a woman learn in peace, fully submitted; 12 but I do not permit a woman to teach a man or exercise authority over him; rather, she is to remain at peace.

Now I'm all for equal rights, but then again I didn't write the bible.

I love that people thumbs down me for quoting their bible, or are they doing it because I stated I'm all for equal rights. Hypocrites either way.

The Bible states that man and woman are partners or co-equals but share different responsibilities. The man's place is head of the family and priest (teacher in religious matters). Because of this, the man also has greater responsibility and must answer for this if neglected.
I believe that some passages are interpreted by some to use as proof that God does not value the woman as much as the man or that men are superior to women. This is not true and is oftentimes abused.
I believe this partnership is set in place to provide an orderly framework for the family.

I'm not sure if those scriptures are to be read taking into account old jewish customs, but I do know that men and women were created with equal dignity by God. Neither one is above the other. However, a man does hold a position of authority in the marriage, but only, ONLY is he remains in union with Christ. If he does anything OUTSIDE of that union, he has no authority. The same applies to a woman. If her husband is straying from the Church, her job and duty is to pull him back and set him straight.

The authority given the man by God in the marriage does not make him a ruler, lord or master. He is to be a servant to his wife and children, to the marriage, because the marriage comes from the Church, from Christ, and Christ Himself was a servant.

God bless.

Where does it say they are not equal to men? As I recall the Bible states:

Galatians 6:28 "26 YOU are all, in fact, sons of God through YOUR faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of YOU who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female; for YOU are all one [person] in union with Christ Jesus"

Acts 10:34 "God is not partial"

I think you are misunderstanding the reason that God placed man as woman's head. It's not because men are better than women. For instance, in the Christian congregation there are men who are appointed as overseers in the congregation (Hebrews 13:17). This doesn't mean that the appointed men are better than any of the other men in the congregation. It just means that they have responsibilies that others don't. God has appointed man as the head of the women, not because they are better, but because they were first created (1 Corinthians 11:7-9)

Both men and women can be servents of God. In fact, in the work of preaching the good news, or the gospel, women excel (Psalm 68:11) Both men and women can be children of God. One child is not greater than the other when it comes to man and woman.

Proverbs 31:28- 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

1 Corinthians 11:11- Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 11:7- For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

Ephesians 5:25-Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.
Also 28- So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

1 Corinthians 7:3- Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

Genisis 2:24- Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

1 Peter 3:1- Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
7- Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your
prayers be not hindered.

Proverbs 18:22-Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

There are some scriptures that show that to God, us women are more then just slaves. We ARE equal to the men. We follow the man if he is rightous and is listening to the Lord. If he isn't, we do what we think is right. Marriage gives neither partner the right to dominate or abuse the other. Rather, husband and wife should help each other as equal partners.

Scripture tells us that one of the significant differences in roles is that God made men to lead, provide for, and protect women--particularly their wives--in a humble and servant-like (i.e., Christ-like) manner.

Men like to take scripture and use just one scripture out of the whold chapter to show they are above us, but what they need to understand is that woman was made from man, and was also the last creation made by God. That should tell you something. We are the crowning creation. We were meant to help each other in marriage, not be submissive and just go with everything the man says, unless he is following all of God's commandments and have open communication with him, i.e. prayer. If there are concerns that we both have, we pray together and then take our answers and put them together. Usually we both get similar answers. Sometimes, the woman is the one who knows what a family needs better then a man. Take for instance kids. Sometimes, especially if the man works outside the home, he isn't there to see the everyday workings of the house. The woman that is home sees everything and knows what is best for her children at the time. We have dominion over our homes. That is what our role is. We are to care for our children, our husbands, our homes and we use our intuition and our link with God, as creators ourselves, to help with that. If the man has something that will help with the family, then all the better, but since he isn't here all the time, most decisions go to the wife.

I am not a slave. I don't take care of the kids, clean, cook, do laundry and other duties because I'm supposed to. I do it because I love my husband and my kids and I want them to know that I love them. Yes, my husband is the patriarch in the family. He holds the preisthood and has a link to God. If he says something that I know has come from God, then I will follow it. But it goes the same way for him. I may not hold the preisthood myself, but I benefit from it just the same as he does. Women are meant to be mothers, helpmates and the other half of men. We weren't meant to have the preisthood. It is a division of labor in God's eyes.

I don't call anyone Lord, but God and Jesus.
My husband is not Christian, so our situation is quite unique. But if he were, He would be the head of our household. I would prefer if he made more of the decisions. I am there to be supportive of him, and give him my 2 cents, but ultimately I would want him to make the decisions. I know he loves me enough to take my input into consideration and he would be respectful. I think men can at times make more rational decisions, because i, as a woman can be a bit emotional. However I am there to keep his testosterone in check too.

If we seem on the creation we see that Eve grow to be produced from Adams aspect. no longer his head, nor his ft. This infers Eve grow to be created as a co-equivalent to Adam no longer inferior or more advantageous. people have egos and those egos make it puzzling for people to admit blunders. Eve blamed the serpent fairly than admitting her sin. Adam blamed Eve and circuitously God to attempt to stay away from duty. As a remember of hormones men are more suitable an more suitable muscular than females, and so bodily ruled. This coupled with the blame pastime deliver about this perceived superiority. yet this grow to be no longer by using Gods layout yet fairly the made from ego, custom and sin. The Bible does mirror historic realities and so that you've a historic previous showing men dominating females - simply by the undeniable fact that grow to be the truly historic case. yet back, no longer the by using Gods layout yet by using mans ego. in the dominion of God, declared by using Christ, it is determined excellent - In Gods kingdom there is male or woman dominance all are equivalent in Christ. were it no longer for religions corrupting Christs message this can be the case between Christians immediately! replace takes time, yet we are getting there!

The Bible does not say that women are not equal to men. Biblically, the husband is the head of the family, but that doesn't mean that he is superior. The president is the ruler of the country and commander and chief, but that doesn't mean that he is more important than any of the people he rules over. Next time, support your belief of what the Bible says with specific verses.
