I got a beautiful, but HUGE silver bowl that did NOT match my decor from my gay uncle. Came from Neimen Marcus and everything.

We call it our fruit bowl :).

(No offense meant to any gays out there - I do have several gay friends and they think it's funny).

Appliances. My husband and I both had our own places before getting married, so we already had 2 of everything. At our wedding we got more appliances. We ended up giving the gifts to my brother and his sister, both were getting their first apartments for college.

Someone gave us an elephant statuette...about a 6 inch high, blue glass elephant--with black tusks. It was, without a doubt, the ugliest thing I had ever seen. It went straight to Goodwill....

A cutting board in the shape of a cow. Also a huge pair of panties, which are NEVER going to fit.

Electric salt and pepper grinders.

They're called "e-mills".

I'm not joking, either.
