Jesus said "the kingdom of God is within you". Why would I be trying to behave a certain way here on earth to get somewhere that is already within me?? I mean, how can I go to heaven "when I die", if heaven is within me??

Do you want to get that "Heavenly feeling" inside you?

Jesus told us how.

And, at the same time he told us how to get to the physical Heaven on his home planet.

"Forgive others for their mistakes." -- Try it, and you will get a Heavenly feeling. - Come on try it, what have you got to lose?

Then Jesus told us what was required to get to Heaven, and what will keep you out of Heaven, no matter how many time you scream "Lord, Lord, Jesus is my savior"

You will not get to Heaven unless you are a harmony-loving person. If you hold grudges against people you are not a harmony-loving person.

Specifically, Jesus told us, "If you do not forgive others, then your Father in Heaven will not forgive you".

No Bubba preacher will ever give a sermon on that Jesus Quote.

(Why? He would lose his congregation, because he has been previously preaching Paul's mumbo Jumbo of getting to Heaven by Screaming "Lord, Lord, Jesus is my Savior, his blood has washed away my sins; past, present, and future sins" --- Jesus never said any such thing.

Jesus never really said our church or kingdom is within us. That is more a gnostic belief and for people that want to try to get out of going to church and giving back to God or serving him in any way. That simply isnt Biblical. Jesus did say in Luke 7:21 that the kingdom is within us but that isnt the same thing as gnostics propose. The Kingdom gets SHARED with us when we are indwelled with the Holy Spirit. But that is completely different form the gnostic notion of salvation coming from. It doesnt, it comes only from Jesus.

So therefore unless you do the things Jesus taught and "behave" Christlike, you will not recieve the gift of salvation nor ever set eyes upon the gates of Heaven.

Please don't behave a certain way here to get to a conceptual heaven. You are right, the Kingdom of God is within you and is within all creatures. It is only when we "study to be still" that the presence of this God and kingdom of God is realized. God is delighted when we do good for the sake of doing good. He loves us anyway but we shouldn't do good to try to make the last plane for heaven. Many religions promise this or that so that you will be good but in the end, it is how you live your life thats important for our soul. God is in no hurry. It may take a few billion years before God has perfected us. Have you ever noticed that some people are so peaceful and happy and you feel lightened in thier presence? Have you ever also felt the heavy and sad when in the presence of someone who is worried or mad. It is up to us to let the Lingdom of God manifest itself by helping to let the light of God and his kingdom shine. Rememeber that this short life we have is just a short "parenthisis of eternity". We are all immortal. Nothing in universe will ever leave in totality. God loves every creature so much that he helps us to work out our flaws each day until we are ready for the next dimension. I think it will be better than heaven. Earth and this life, with all it's imperfections is still an awesome place. An infinite amount of things have to happen each second for all of to be here. The imperfectness may actualy be part of this perfect creation. We may all ready be partly in heaven now and not even realize it.
Remember, don't listen to what men have to say but what God says to your heart. Yes, God does speak through creatures and sometimes it is through the most unlikly of men or creatures. That is the beauty of God. Go within, be quiet, and just wait. The spirit will speak louder and louder until one day you will be at at union. Your very own "religious" experience will be yours. Don't re-live someone elses experiences. God is the same today as yesterday. Don't spend too much time thinking or worrying about others past experiences. Have your own. You will realize your own heaven and it is now. You are at 1 with God now. Embrace it. He totally loves you and forgives all. Who are men to judge you? Love!

That simply means that we have the capacity to live a "Kingdom of Heaven" lifestyle on this earth, within the Body of Christ. Just becasue we are able to, doesn't mean that we do or will. Our flesh gets in the way of us doing that individually. Which is why we need to rely on our brothers and sisters in the faith for encouragement, accountability, training, etc.

Yikes! I also have wondered about heaven. There are so many rules and sins that people don't realize. People misinterpret the Bible a lot and that's why we have schisms.

It's sad to think. I have a lot of conflicts within me deciding what is right and what God thinks is right. I just pray (deep pray - talking with God, i.e. talking with him, etc.) It's not all that bad. It's like a form of meditation on top of that.

I hope that he loves me and that I'll do my best because when you think about it, you're either going to be stuck in Hell or Heaven FOREVER! That is way longer than your life on Earth. You might thinking life is long (or short) but the "after life" is WAY longer!

How long is forever? Think about it... FOREVER. You'd either burn up and never be happy in Hell or be happy and jolly with others in Heaven.

Hope to see you up with the big guy!

no king will ever get into heaven as i write it. unless of course i am declared a king like king show I <(C=SEE)i n(I7)g(9) as in I see i I7.9 as in TODD's original birthday or KING=I <(see) I IV CuT.
other wise i gaurantee no king or KING except possibly Me was at heaven, and i ain't a real recoqnized king or KING unless of course i run for Pequis First Nation leadership and declare instead of being called Chief I insist each First Nation begin calling there Chiefs Kings just like whites used to do. like in england they had many kings on the island.
so heaven was mostly populated by north american indians, and germans, and friends.

Of course God's Kingdom is within us, however we must do our part for it to manifest. For an advance devotee of God being in heaven or hell is the same for he's got God's Kingdom within him and he is experiencing it.

1) He was speaking to His Disciples. You are not one of them.

2) Trying will get you nowhere. Salvation is by Grace, through Faith, not of works (Eph. 2:8-9)

3) Good behavior will get you nowhere. We "behave good" because of the Graces given to us in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism and as a thanksgiving to God for the same.

well, there is only one other alternative, and I'm sure you don't want to go there, so why wouldn't you want to go to heaven?? I think Jesus meant that it is in all of us to choose the path we want to take to end up in heaven. It is within us all to become the kind of person who will enter into heaven or become the person who will go straight to hell.
