Put a heating pad on your tummy to relax those tired abdominal muscles. Light stretching to your abs and an Advil will also help.
If you're still sore (or just want extra brownie points on top of doing the other things) add 1 cup of Epsom salts into a warm bath and soak for 10-15 minutes (no longer than 20) to help neutralize lactic acid build-up in your tired muscles. This will help bring the pain levels down.

Hey, congratulations on the fantastic workout! When I use to get sore from working out especially my abs I used a heating pad to relax my muscles. Its felt so good and warm, but if you haven't got a heating pad try taking a warm bath. Also eat bananas to keep potassium in you so you don't start to cramp because that kills! Try stretching after warming up your muscles to loosen them up. Also, apply lotion and massage your abs a little to help you feel better. Try not to do too much and take it easy. I know getting up must be killer. Good luck and keep up the exercising!

Both of the above.
Ibuprofen will help ease the pain you're experiencing now, and stretching will prepare your muscles for any further exercise you choose to do in the near future.
For personal benefit, you may as well keep hooping it now, as the worst of it's over.
I hope this helps.

It means you exercised a lot, but take heart, you can work out your abs to complete muscle failure twice a day with no adverse side effects other than a bit of pain and stiffness, which stretching will remedy. Just keep stretching it out!! You'll be fine, I promise!

Your doctor was right. You used your abdomen muscles more then you used to use them. There fore they are sore. If you keep hula hooping your abdomen (abs) will get stronger and you may end up with a six pack. Providing your not that fat.

Nope...you just have to rest your stomache muscles for a few days. You've strained them and probably the muscles in your back as well. Take a few aspirins every 8 hrs. if you're not allergic and wait it out...... you'll be fine.

Try a heating pad and Advil. Lie flat because if you curl up, you muscles will tighten and you wont be able to stand straight when you get up.
