Hi Mandy...consider Nature's Miracle Just For Cats found worldwide at most pet stores. It's an enzymatic neutralizer which works by breaking down urine proteins by thoroughly soaking the areas affected and allowing to air dry. Repeated applications are necessary for heavily soiled areas. Couch will require extra solution so consider buying the Gallon size to achieve the results.

Nature's Miracle Just For Catsproduct info: http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441775019&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302025596&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023690&bmUID=1167132360710&itemNo=0&Ntt=nature%27s+miracle+just+for+cats&In=All&previousText=nature%27s+miracle+just+for+cats&N=2

We've tested nearly all enzyme neutralizers available in the marketplace for our exotic cats which have stronger urine than domestic cats and found that Nature's Miracle Just for Cats has always worked the best.

Whoever concluded that enzyme products remove urine have no idea what they're talking about. Nature's Miracle contains blood enzymes the same solution as in Spray and Wash. Great on blood, but does nothing on urine. Dumb Cat is the only product tested to work on cat urine. Its available from drsfostersmith.com and petco.com Spray it on and leave it. Wal-mart??? I never buy stuff from them. A store full of cheap stuff. I bet if I went to homes that used urine b gone etc. the houses would stink. Humans get used to smells in a few hours. Go on vacation to Hawaii and close up your home. Open the doors on return and you will likely gasp at the smells coming from your cat urine home.

They sell special cleaners at the pet store. Make sure you get one that says it's enzymatic. They break down the smelly stuff in the urine. Normal uphostery cleaner won't do. Good luck! Cat pee's notoriously hard to get rid of.

Also, better find out why kitty's not using the litter. If it's not fixed, get it fixed, otherwise talk to your vet. They have an instinct to go places where it's easy to dig, so going on your couch is not normal.

You should use an enzymatic cleaner. You can purchase these at any pet store (ex. petsmart, petco) If you do not use a cleaner with enzmes then you can expect your cat to continue to pee in the same spot.

Try Urine Gone ... It's in pet stores, in big blue bottle, supposed to work the best... the smell will eventually diminish...

Go to your vet. They make special sprays that contain enzymes that break down the urine, neutralizing the smell.
