This may seem sort of silly, but I've begun marking the calendar when I give my sons medicine .. I'll mark their name, the meds, the dosage, & time on whichever day it is. Then I just look at the calendar if I can't remember if I gave them anything or the time, etc. You could even make a chart for your Mother to mark if she'd rather not use the calendar. Good luck!

I put them in a pill box marked with the days of the week. On a shot you can put those little stickies on each day and remove one when you take the shot.
If my pills are still in the box or the sticky isn't gone, I know what I missed.
When my meds made me confused, I set timers or my cell phone for the time I am to take my pills, then check my 7day box.

Go to the drugstore and get a one week pill minder. They come in several types.

One type has one little compartment for each day of the week, and the days are marked on the lids. All of the pills for each day go into the compartment for that day.

Another type is a bit bigger, and it has several compartments for each day. Again, they are clearly marked, but instead of being one compartment for the whole day, there is a compartment for the morning, one for afternoon, and one for evening (or something like that).

Help her fill them with the proper dosages for each day, and then all she has to do is look in the compartment to see if she has taken her medicine.

Here's a link to the one-compartment daily kind:

And here are some that have more than one compartment for each day:

The site has a lot of pill organizers, so look around to see what best suits her needs.

Good luck.

A notebook containing all medicines she takes - time, date, dosage. All the important stuff.
A pill box - any of the above medications that are in tablet or capsule form, place them in a pill box. Larger pill boxes have parts that say Sunday to Saturday, Morning, Afternoon, Evening.. so she knows what to take when.
I do hope this helps you.

Get a pill box. They have days of the week. Put the pills inside. Some have timers. Put a calendar on the wall (or a magnetized one on the fridge) and have her note each day AFTER she takes a dose.

They sell daily medicine containers of different types. You can purchase a five day plastic pill holder which contains the day of the week on the top. Fill it up every weekend for the next week. Then on Monday, she'll take her meds. On Tuesday, she'll realize Monday is empty, then she'll know to take them for Tuesday and so on. Follow?

I have a row of plastic boxes (from the drugstore) - one for every day of the week and I have two of these - one for morning and one for evening. At the beginning of the week, I fill them up, being careful to get the correct amount of pills in each day. Then, each day, I know if I took my pills, because the box is empty

There are actuall watches available that can be set to sound an alarm several times a day. I've used them for patients who have difficulty remembering medication-dosing times. They work like a charm!
Use these as an adjunct to her pill boxes....
