There really is no easy way to get over someone, especially if that person was very important in your life. One of the best ways is to remember that person in a good way and not what ended the relationship. This way you are not feeling bitter. Then you can move forward. Don't jump into a new relationship because you have the right to get over this one first. Plus it is not fair to the new person to bring past events into a new one. You are allowed to feel upset about ending your relationship.

Find a new one. Easier said than done. It;s just something that
takes time. You need to keep busy, the busier you are the less time
you have to think about her. We've all been where you are. In my
case it was getting over a guy, Believe me it will happen and you
will find someone else to love.

Most people, including myself, usually just try to ignore what they're feeling and jump right into the "moving on" process. Acknowledge everything that you're feeling because without doing so, it will just build up and be twice as bad later. Be sad, be angry, go out and party, stay in bed all day if you have to. Sounds cheesy, but it works.

Well, get rid of everything she has given you while you and her were dating. And in the first place how long have you and her been split? After a while start looking for a new girl and act like you never dated her. If you look at her look at her like she was never your girlfriend and that she is just one of your good friends.

Nothing like the smell of a new girlfriend, to help get over the old worn out girlfriend.

get yourself a new piece, that's what i did. I moped for two weeks after being dumped by my fiance of two years. The first time I found a new piece I was instantly healed. Hallelujah.

Hmm... Let's see.
Go to some place full of hotter girls.
Do stuff with friends.
Get an occupying hobby.
Watch movies.
Avoid music, it talks to you in bad ways sometimes.
Unless you're all emo-screamo like I am
Then it'll say "burn down the white house' not "you should kill yourself remember that great girl blah blah blah"
Yeah.
Worked for me, at least.
