Is it possible that some babies decide that they are not ready to join this world and so abort themselves? If indeed fetuses have rights, then perhaps, might they also feel it is their right to die? Many people think fetuses always want to live, but how do we know for sure? These people follow closely their version of the written word, so I guess in order to start with this question, we have to answer equally the definition of "rights." Because if "rights" only means "to live," then by definition, it is not "rights." Correct me if I'm mistaken, but don't "rights" mean the "right to choose"?

I do believe that fetus' should have rights. If given a chance to grow they would be a person just like you and me. They have a heart beat at about 10 weeks with their own bloodstream and blood type, and their own gender. Yes, they need the womb to grow, but so did you and I. I am grateful that my parents let me live, and that fetus/human/baby will be glad you did that for him/her too. A fetus has natural religion. In other words God created them and he is the creator of all things making these babies spiritual beings from conception. In this case, the Muslims are right.

What a sticky question.
Examine a young human embryo and a cow embryo (you can look at the picture in my sources if you'd like). They're almost identical. As they age, they become more dissimilar. Eventually, it's obvious that one is human and that one is a calf. The human and calf grow up. Eventually, the cow's slaughtered and the human eats it at a steakhouse. Does the cow have rights? If so, does the cow's fetus have rights?
I would say that a full-grown cow ought to have more rights than either of those little tadpole-like embryos. It's much more complex and much more self-aware than either embryo.
But yes, I recognize that at some stage the embryo becomes a fetus and at some other stage the fetus becomes a baby. Do I think it's okay to kill babies? No. Do I think it's okay to kill embryos? I wouldn't do it personally, but then again I can't even bring myself to stomp on a roach. If we have no problem with killing cows for food, killing other humans in executions or wars, then I don't think we should have any problem whatsoever killing fetuses. At young stages they're about as self-aware as a banana.
As to whether they have religions? No. The very idea is preposterous. No one is born with any knowledge of Muhamed's teachings, Jesus's crucifixion, or Yahweh's creation. They're born into a world and they say "oh, isn't this neat!" As they grow they learn to understand more and more about the world—but they won't have even a glimmer of religion until someone talks to them about it. Do you think that babies are born with a pre-formed notion of Santa Claus? Well, they haven't got one of God either.

It's all about timing. The heart and nervous system cannot function on their own before 4-5 months of gestation. Even if one believes in a soul, does the owner move in before the house is complete?
If it were settled when life begins, this would not be a question, as no rational person believes in murder.

In the event of a conflict, it is either the rights of the mother or the foetus. In most male religions, including Islam, it is the rights of the fetus that govern. This does not apply to the abortion on demand issue only, it allows the doctor to spare the baby's life on expense of the pregnant mothers life! I think that is unfair to women.

Fetuses should probably have rights, but they definitely don't have a religion. I'm Christian, and I don't believe in been Baptized as an infant or toddler, because when your two or three, I doubt you can really understand what Jesus has done for us.

A fetus is simply a child that has not yet exited the womb...so lets start off by calling it just what it is...a child. secondly, a "fetus's" heart starts beating just 14 days after conception. Which mean they are already alive from day 1. Which means if their hearts are beating (just like ours) they must have just as many rights as we do. Secondly, I don't believe a child is evil at birth...so if they die, they die to be with God. Humans are born with evil intent, but techically the child hasn't sinned yet...so naturally there is nothing to forgive... Not to mention I believe there is a maturing prosses for a child...no child can at birth choose which religion it will believe in, or if God is real or not. No, I don't think children are born with a religion. But, me myself, I am a Christian. and I believe that while the "soul" if you will. Is still young, it is free from such life changing discions... I am pretty sure any child that dies...or is killed. When quite young, goes to heaven... I have no proof, and I don't claim to know this as a fact...But in my religion, my God is a God of love. And a God of amazing gifts...life is a gift. So I think if he gives us life, surely he gives us heaven...
I hope I answered your question :-) thanks for asking
God bless

Yes I think that fetuses have rights. They should be given life and not subjected to abortion. Well yeah they do have religion because of the parents. It depends on what religion the parents are.

No, they have no rights until they are outside of their mothers body. Children are born without the guilt of a religion. That curse is taught to them.

They have no religion. And, yes, they have the right to not have to come into this godawful world filled with global warming, terrorism, and deforestation. I don't want to have a kid because I think it would be selfish.
I mean seriously, if you knew everything about the world you know now, would you really want to come into it?
