I have got a Canon Ixus 65. It says its movie format is Avi on its digital screen but when I download the movies from my camera to my notebook, my notebook says the movie file format is MVI. Anyway after I burned the movie files on cd, I wanted to watch it on my television via my dvd-divx player but this time this massage occured on television, " not supported codec.." What is the problem with my dvd palyer?..Because I can watch these movies recorded by Canon on my notebook but no way with my dvd -divx player (note that this dvd player can play the movies recorded by an old version digital Sony camera)...Now what can I do?...

the dvd player isnt set up to play this file format. I dont know if there is a way to install updated codex to this player or not. I would love to have a divx/dvd player though. Maybe you should convert the video on your computer to the divx format, then burn it to disc.
