Get a job and seek counselling so you don't fall into another abusive relationship. File a restraining order on you boyfriend and go over and thank your neighbors for saving your life and your dignity.

Depends on what state you live in. Usually a small amount of marijuana is a class B misdemeanor that could get him up to 180 days, but is usually much less. The weapon is where the sentence could vary widely. Does your state allow the carry of a weapon? If so, was he under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the traffic stop? If he was it becomes UCW- Unlawful carry of a weapon, which could be a felony. It also depends on his criminal history. Has he been convicted of any violent crimes or other UCW charges? If so I don't see the court being very lenient. If not they may cut him a break. On top of that it all comes down to the judge. Is he having a bad day? The point is, you will just have to wait until the court date to find out what will happen. There are far too many variables for anyone to hazard a guess. Hope this helps at least a little.

They may hold him overnight--or at least for a few hours.
Be grateful your neighbors called the police.
I don't know if you will be kicked out of your apartment but you could very well be told to leave depending on how the status of the apartment complex you live in.
The police should set you up with a Victim's Assistance contact person, if you filed a report. Even if you did not file a report, the police should still give you a number of a counselor to call. You need to talk to someone. Preferably before he gets out of jail.
Do NOT let him back in without a police officer there. And only to collect his things and leave.
You can make it on your own. Even feeling helpless as you may be feeling now, try to remember that.
Please do not let it happen again--no matter what he says or may promise--do not give him another opportunity to put a hand on you!

I don't think that they will kick out of your apartment for just one call, but if this has happened before then they might, I would say that if you guys live together the first thing that you need to do it change the locks and get a restraining order against him so that he can't come around when he get's out!! I hope that you aren't going to honestly stay with him after he pulled a knife on you!

Your boyfriend will probably not be in jail that long unless you press charges, and even then it will probably not be for very long. You should definitely talk to someone- your mom, dad, sister. Don't be embarassed either because you didn't do anything wrong. They can't kick you out of your apartment either. It is really important that you talk to someone. You can even call a helpline if you have to. But, please, don't just let your boyfriend back in. Things like this happen to a lot of women, and next time it could be worse.

You need someone to talk to? you can IM me at yay_boxes on yahoo messenger or email me at mmm_paste@hotmail.com I'll be on till 4pm atleast and I check my email frequently.

I'm not sure why you think you will be kicked out of your apartment. They can't throw you out for soething like that. But if you need to feel reassured check your lease. It won't say anything about breaking contract by police visits or disturbances.

It depends on what they charged him for on how long he will be locked up. Are you going to press charges? You don't need to feel embarrassed, there are many organizations for women who have been assaulted. They would be more qualified to talk than I am. I'll look some up for you.

Here are some places to go:

www.AbusedAdultResourceCenter.com

WADT.org

www.endabuse.org

This one is a forum:

No need to feel embarrassed, hun. these things happen and they aren't your fault. Hang in there. I hope this helps.

I dont think he should be your boyfriend,
but you'll be fine, you won't get kicked out of your apartment you'll probably get it free for a whilen and you'll be on witness protection program so there will be NO WAY he can get to you - if i was you I would keep a cricket bat near you when you go to bed and leave a light on (just to be on the safe side)
Hope you're OK
