Awesome Question:
I would say 100% yes. Through using the techniques that the Dog Whisperer uses to control dogs I have found that I can control my dog without the need for shouting or hitting. Having a dog made me realise though how quickly I could get angry and the dog whisperer techniques made me realise that I was the one that needed to be CALM. I can honestly say that I have learnt to conrol my anger because of my dog and the help of Cesar Millans techniques.

It's a proven fact that dogs reduce stress and tension, not only for their owners, but for other people too. For this reason they are used as therapy dogs in nursing homes, enriching the quality of life for the residents. Dogs have been very successful with autistic children and deaf children.
We get so many benefits from their love and companionship, and all they ask is our love in return.

Definitely. I take my 5 1/2 month old Bichonpoo almost everywhere with me because she relaxes me and keeps my anger in check. I am less quick to anger, I don't yell as much I am more patient. I know it is because of my relationship and companionship from her. I have multiple sclerosis and her keeping me more relaxed also reduces the incidents of spasms. I am less stressed a less intense person.

Hmm, most of the time yes. They are great companions and make me feel good. On the other hand, when my dog decides he wants to chew everything in the house, dig through the trash and crap on the floor, I get pretty angry and start to wonder what am I thinking, having 3 dogs. But then he comes and licks my face and all is better. :)

I work with dogs and I know after being yelled at by an angry customer or by my boss, going into the back room and petting the dogs calms my stress and anger levels alot!

At times they can anger me just as much as my kids. At night after the kids are in bed and the lights are out. I love to sit on the couch, petting a dog while watching Law and Order. I relax and the house is peaceful. Nothin better!!!

I don't own dogs, I have a cat and 2 hamsters. I don't enjoy picking up poop or stepping in surprises. So I stick to animals that are cleaner.
I love dogs, my parents have one and everytime I visit I want to steal their yorkshier terrior maltese...
If you a good dog than yes less angry. if it's a bad dog- WAY more angry!

yes. dogs are so wonderful. They are best friends and always will be. I feel much happier and calmer when im around a dog. My dogs always comfort me and I try to comfort them. I do get angry but my dogs will always be there to help me feel better. for example i get mad my little puppy will walk up and look at me. one look at him and i just have to smile.
