Well think of it this way, it's worse to go out with a guy if you don't actually like him, just be honest. it will help you in the long run, the longer you leave it the worse it will egt. Don't do it over the phone or text. Especially don't give him a note or ask someone to tell him for you. You need to do it face to face, and tell him slowly.
Good luck, I know how you feel! I hope I help! xx

You need to tell him. No matter what you do his is going to feel hurt. The best approach is to be honest. There is a tactful way to go about this. I don't really know him or you so the tact you use should be based on what type of a person he is and yourself are. But you must be honest. If he is a good man he will respect your honesty. Maybe not at first. But in time he will. Better sooner than later as well. You definitely don't want him to feel led on. That just makes the pain worse and makes him wonder if there is something wrong with him.

i understand you don't want to hurt his feelings but honestly the best thing to do is to be honest with him and just say your feelings have disappeared for him but you'd still like to be friends -sure he'll be hurt for a while but i think anyone would rather that than have someone lead them on

Well, I'm assuming you are young and still just dating and such, so why not just be honest with him, without being mean. Just tell him you have a great time with him, but you're not ready to settle down with one person. You have to live for yourself, not other people's feelings.

You have to tell him how you don't feel about him, so that you don't lead him on. If you continue to do that, he'll end up getting hurt even more.

invite him out and talk to him explain gently that its not that you don't like him as an individual but u don't think its going to work out for u and u don't want to hurt his feelings but its better that he knows you don't feel the same way he does and that u two can remain friends at least till he finds someone else, OK.

hmmmmmmmm, tough situation. well, u could just gently, nochalantly (casually) just tell him that instead of doing something that would be like a date or something, just do things as friends, no more relationship stuff, just normal good friends stuff. then if he asks why ur not going on dates and stuff with him anymore just tell him that ud rather be his friend than girlfriend now.
idk, did that help? it probably didn't make much sense. i haven't really been in that situation before, sorry.

You're going to have to suck it up and be the villain. You can be a little harsh now or a lot harsh later as the situation gets more complicated and ugly.

Tell him that you're having second thoughts and you'd like to put the relationship on hold until further notice.

Leading him on if even meaner. Ignore him or just tell him in a nice way.
