To be a sample of who Christ is in us, by living as Christ lived, in our manner of speech, in our motives, in our actions and our choices, to bear the fruits of His character, and to do it with humility and grace, showing God's love in everything we say and do. I like to say that Jesus is the Light and we are the lamp by which He shines.

One cannot have God for his Father, who will not have the Church for his Mother, and likewise, one cannot have the Word of God for his faith who will not have the Church for his teacher. It is the infallible teaching authority of the Church, as promised by Christ, which alone preserves God's Word from erroneous interpretation.
