You need to seek some professional help immediately. A doctor can help you get to the bottom of the reason for your feelings of depression, and help resolve those feelings. Don't do anything drastic without talking to someone first, and please don't take the advice of some of the idiots that you will surely get on here. Once you can get some help from a doctor and start resolving these feelings, you might start to feel better, and it may take some medication to help you as well. A lot of times people around you don't understand how you feel, that's not unusual, because depressioin is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. It can make you feel physical pain, it messes up your emotions, and it makes you feel usless and worthless and things like that, when you truly aren't. That's why your parents and friends aren't understanding you. A doctor can really provide the help that you are asking for, not some people on the other end of a computer. Please seek some help from a doctor. Also, after seeing a doctor that may prescribe you some medication, that doctor may also recommend that you have some counselling, so that you don't sprial down to this point again. I wish you the best of luck, and again, please don't do anything drastic or listen to the idiot responses that you are sure to get on here from stupid people that shouldn't be giving anyone advice. Good luck to you.

You are so wrong that death will release you from pain. Stop thinking of killing yourself sweety. Try seeing the doctor again who may prescribe something that works better.
Depression is a medical condition and you need to find the right medicine and therapy to feel better.
You know you have a lot to offer in life so do not give up now. Things WILL get better and it would be horrible if you were to miss it all when it gets good now wouldn't it? This will pass but you need to be stronger then your emotions. I am going to leave you some links to go look at but I want you to give your doctor a call.
Here too is a place to call so do so and talk to them as well.
1-800-273-TALK
1-800-273-8255
If you feel you are going to harm yourself ( DO NOT DO SO)
Call this number instead.
1-800-SUICIDE*

Right now in your life you are going through a lot of changes so be patient. Things will improve but you have to allow some help for yourself. Hang in there.

You are so young, I'm sure you have hopes and dreams that you want to fulfill. No one can understand what someone with a mental illness feels better than one with a mental illness.
The specialists are trained to help you. Some of the psychiatric meds take a few months to work effectively, the problem with meds is that once you start and they are working well that is when people are more likely to want to kill themselves which is when they need closer supervision.
You need to go and seek help from your doctors, go to a different hospital if you need to.
Your pain will be released if you kill yourself and are successful but you will give your friends and family unending anguish and pain

You are right, you wont feel your pain or anything else for that matter. THink of all those people that will hurt from your death, do you want to cause people who love you pain that they then have to live with for the rest of their lives. Don't be selfish. Depression is very difficult, but you must try to find something good in your life that will make you happy. You are very young, the world is huge and has a lot to offer - there is a lot to explore yet, you will find something that will make you happy - don't give up and keep searching. Death is no answer - don't become a statistic - keep on trying

Dear girl. My heart bleeds when I read that a youngster like you are in such dire straits.
Suicide is never a solution - it's a symptom, a cry for help. Death is only an instant help, here and now. And then you'll never know how beautiful life can be.
You really need help. And I don't understand no one around you hasn't found that out.
Isn't there a Lifeline you can phone? Since everything you have tried so far has only made it worse. You really need a lot of love, care and attention, and theraphy.
Lots of love and good luck!

my question is is all the pain gone if we die? all the shows that Ive seen about after life show that they could still feel and think. are you willing to take this chance? your only 17 and your life has lots of avenue's to travel. get a pet like a mouse and develope a friendship with it, the mouse will develope a friendship with you and it will always want your attention. It will depend on you. after the mouse get a cat and do the same with it, and so on and so on. work through your pains and grow therapy may be a way of taking care of your self or chasing boys may be an avenue I don't know your whole story but I'm sure things can change as you grow older. be patient your life will change in a short time be patient

You need to find something to do. Get a hobby or a job that you can put all your attention to. You really need to find something to take your mind off of things that normally depress you.
Trust me your not the only one that feels this way. You can and will overcome your problems. Most teens go thru the same phase. I did. You will make it.
The greatest thing is when your a little older you will meet someone and have kids and a family and a nice home and then you will find out how life is really worth living.
Good luck. Take care of yourself and remember life can be alot tougher.

First of all, DON'T DO IT. I've been there, and it sucks, but it will pass. Get help.
BUT....if you do decide to do it, make it quick and painless. A failed suicide attempt, depending on the method used, can leave you crippled, disfigured, or a vegetable, which means you'll be a burden on other people and your society. Also, leave a note so that people will at least know why you did it. For a "Practical Guide To Suicide," visit http://www.satanservice.org/coe/suicide/guide
This guide includes suggestions on how to do it quickly and painlessly.
But, you're better off just not doing it. Get a grip, suck it up, and go talk to somebody.

Yes, this is wrong!! I think that you should see a councilor or something. Killing yourself will not make the pain go away. Think of all the people who will have pain if you do kill yourself. You need to express your feelings to anyone. Your friends, and journal, anything!! I once had a small problem like you. I felt that if I killed myself, everything would be okay. But then I thought, "If I do kill myself, think of all the good things in life I would miss. Think of all the people that would miss me, and off the things that I could of done." Please, don't kill yourself. People who kill themselves miss so much in life, and they can never come back. Please don't do it!! Find a way that keeps you from doing it. Even if you have to snap yourself with a rubber band, that's better than killing yourself. Please, for the sake of your family and friends, don't do it!!!!!!

YOu should really tell someone close to you this stuff instead of asking random Yahoo users for help. Killing yourself is not the answer. Think of how sad your family and friends would be and how much life you have not even experienced yet. I was depressed in high school too, but now I'm 25, graduated from college and couldn't be happier. Trust me, suicide is not the answer and hurts everyone who loves you. They would rather talk to you and hear your problems than attend your funeral
