I usually go to the Carolinas and I'm spoiled by their clean beaches and unspoiled views. I went to Cocoa this year and the beach was filthy and you couldn't see the ocean for the high rises.

Orlando is inland, it sits between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean, it's only about 30 miles from the most eastern part of Orlando to Port St. John (Cape Canaveral),The Atlantic coast in that whole area is going to be pretty populated I would suggest the Gulf coast it would probably be cleaner and quieter, I hear Clearwater has a beautiful beach, but your looking at over an hour drive to Orlando. But if your looking for the beach in Orlando your going to have to look for a lake, lakes are everywhere but many places don't allow swimming in lakes (alligators). Kissimee has some larger lakes.
