My mother seems to always feel it is warmer than it really is. This has been going on for at least the last 5 or so years and probably up until 2 years ago before she admitted her temperature scale is a little "off". When her and the family come to visit me, she always has my AC blasting cold. When I am there it's the same thing even though other family members who stay there say (not to her for risk of offending or being dismissed) it gets too cold. Once when confronting her about this and as she was getting defensive about it she mention I was being just like a cousin of mine who apparently noticed and brought up the same thing to her.

Now all that to ask my question, should I be concerned of any major health issues. Usually I thought it was just a quirk but I'm not so sure anymore. Could the fact that her internal temperature guague seems so out of whack with everyone else's be a sign of something else.

If all her blood tests like thyroid come back normal, it could be her skin. Old people have thin skin. She may have a reduced ability to sweat due to damaged skin or reduced sweat glands. This can happen to old people from when they sleep with electric blankets and toast their skin. I damaged mine from working in a steel foundry. My skin looks slightly red, but fairly normal. I due not sweat at all and feel overheated.

P>S the only other thing I can think of is a Pituitary tumor, but then she would have other health problems.
