I responded to a girls ad on craigslist who wanted to go out last friday night and we met that same night for a date. We both seemed to think each other was cute and she wanted to explore all the pubs in the area as she just moved there and I was happy to show her the town. We went to 3 bars and had about 4 vodka and cranberries on a sort of pub crawl. We started dancing having a good time, flirted a bit, then ate a bit at a restaurant afterwards. We kissed a few times after the bar, then at the end of the date I leaned in for the kiss and she kissed back. She said let's go out again. I made the mistake of calling her the next night (too soon) and did not leave a message (she saw that I called though and quizzed me the next day I called her). I called her Sunday to say hi and invite her out for desert to which she said she was busy and I mentioned cool let's try another time but did not give a specific time. Was this a drunken kiss or was she just being polite?

you should wait for her to call you. girls cannot stand to be smothered, and it can totally turn her off if you dont give her space. if she likes you, she'll call you. if not, then you probably saved yourself some grief in the future with someone whos indecisive.

Her feelings cooled off between the fun date and the phone call. You have to fire those feelings back up--talk with her on the phone until she wants to go somewhere else (I know that's hard--I hate talking on the phone too, but that's what girls do). Wait a little while (but less than a week), and when you call try to get her in a good mood like she was in when you went out. If there was a recurring joke or theme, or a funny name you gave her, any of these could bring her back to that night during the phone call.
Don't talk about things like the kiss and so on--remind her of the fun you had and invite her out for more fun.

Well, this makes me think about what binge drinkers we are in the UK because I don't know anyone who would be drunk on 4 vodkas. Maybe getting a bit merry, but no way drunk enough to kiss someone without thinkinking about it.
So I think definitely not a drunken kiss. And do you mean kissing you to be polite? That seems unlikely to me but I suppose possible if she didn't want to hurt your feelings.
Actually I think not drunk, not polite, she was just genuinely busy. Wait a while and get in touch again if you really like her.

I dont think a call the next day is tooo soon if this girl is really into u she was sitting by the phone waiting for you to call she is prolly just not looking for someone that is wanting to be with her all the time,,,depends on what you and her want in life...prolly something totally different so id say it could be that she was really busy and couldnt or you know girls when they are drunk they do stupid **** so they can use the excuse later that they were drunk....good luck dude

It's hard to say. Either she was drunk, or she's waiting for you to do it the right way.
Don't call a girl on Sunday and ask her out for Monday. Call her a few days in advance. So I'd say try one more time - Call early this week (before Wednesday) and ask her out for next weekend. BE SPECIFIC about when you want to go out. If she says she can't and doesn't offer another time, it's over.

She may have really been busy on Sunday. She could have had a previous engagement. I think I would have told her to call me when she wanted to go out again. That way, the ball would be in her court. As it is now, it sounds like she may have changed her mind about dating you in the future. Only she can tell you that.
Call her next week and ask her if she wants to go out. If she refuses, simply tell her that if and when she wants to go out with you again that she should call you.

could be both. hard to tell. maybe she thinks you move to fast for her!!!
i know back in the day b4 i got prego i would be at partys and dance with people and if they got up on me i would kiss.. but maybe she just dosnt know how to say no to the situation i mean as far as kissing you! if you get her out again DONT make a move let her get in on you that way you will know if she really wants to kiss you!!!

Please do not ever think it is too soon. If you like her call her....don't play games. If she didn't want to kiss you then she would not have. It makes a girl feel special when you really like her and call her right away. the whole time to wait rule sucks and sometimes it can back fire.

My guess is she's interested, but a little embarrassed after the drunk smooching. Before another one on one date, invite her to a group event - preferably one not focused on alcohol.
