Even if that person has no intention of follow through, it is the thought. Maybe they just like the attention, maybe they are just a "flirt" but at the end of the days its seeds of thought that will one day grow into something more. Watch out.

Not at all ,,,, I feel that doing so is an indication that this person isn't satisfied with his/her present relationship ,,,, It could be considered a form of cheating ,,,, Also if he/she does meet someone on the computer that interests them more then what do you think they are going to do next ,,,, Like marriage ,,,, A committed relationship ,,,, as you put it ,,,,, is a state of mind nothing else ,,,, If this persons mind isn't into their present relationship then there is no relationship to begin with ,,,, It's time to move on because this person is making a fool of you ,,,,

I think if he does not pursue them to the point of physical contact it is harmless. However, if you are the girlfriend in the committed relationship it's up to you and you should state your feelings if it bothers you. On another note though- a heck of alot of the female profiles on those sites are fake-honest to God .

Depends on what you mean by committed. Have both parties defined their relationship as exclusive? If so, then yes there is a problem.
There has to be a mutual and verbal understanding. The couple have to be on the same page. It sounds like the other person does not believe they are. Cannot make assumptions because you spend time with one another.
After my man and I became committed/exclusive, we removed our profiles from the dating sites. Check with your partner to see his/her view.

Of course not. Why send those out and your in a supposed committed relationship? Sounds like someone's getting bored with the relationship.

NO. Is there confusion between the couple as to whether the relationship is committed or not? (one thinks it is exclusive and the other doesn't) If it has been communicated between them in no uncertain terms that it is exclusive, neither should be sending out interests on a dating site.

If it's a committed relationship, then what is the point in continuing to look? Must not be as committed as you think.

yes, unless you both have made the rules of what's acceptible and unacceptible in the committed relationship, for example my boyfriend brought up that he wanted our reltionship to be exclusive just he and I, so since we have discussed this then it would be wrong on my part to do that, that's why commuincation is crucial, vocalize what you want, put it out on the table, that way no one gets hurt by misunderstandings

Nope. If they are in a relationship, they should stop fishing. Just my opinion, but if you think about it, it's the same as still flirting with people face-to-face, if they do it in person, it's wrong, so why would doing on the internet make it ok?

Only if it is agreed upon by both parties that it is acceptable, such as if you both wanted an open relationship.
But if they are still looking, they aren't committed. Once you go exclusive, you have to play by the rules you both agree to, or you are cheating.
