I'm not being trying to be philosophical but, reverse the question and then stew it over. Is it okay for a guy to date a gal if she doesn't have money? Is money important to date a gal? I'm not a girl, and coming from a man's point of view if a woman summed up my value by my bank account I would dump her on her a**. There is nothing more despicable than a gold digger.

Sure-it's fine to date someone who doesn't have a lot of money...just be prepared to be more limited on what you guys can do when you are together. Money comes and goes-I mean, if you dated a rich guy and he lost all his wealth, would you take off? Not if you got with him for something a little deeper than the thickness of his wallet.

The way I see it is that I'm not dating the money I'm dating the guy. There are many cheap ways to have great dates so no money isn't that important (too me anyway)

Money shouldn't matter in a relationship. All that should matter is how you two feel about each other. Dates can be romantic no matter how much money is spent. I think you should give a guy a chance, regardless of the number of zeros in his bank account.

Yeah It's Okay to Date a Guy That's not rich. But be careful because he might try to steal your money. Don't let him take your credit card or anything. Trust him with everything else but your money.

No, money is not important when choosing a mate, at least not to me, however, I think it's important to choose someone who can take care of himself, is moving forward in life, and who will not be dependent on you for money.

I don't think so. As long as he contributes what he can to the mutual pot, there are a lot more important things than money. I see it break people up quick, though!

If you care about a person then it shouldn't matter but unfortunately alot of women are "gold diggers"-so called. My husband and I were broke as hell when we met but with both of us together we have built a healthy financial life.
