OK, I just bought it and crap and I can' find the frickin' USB driver for it. Now, there is something about a FIREWIRE cord, but I don't know what they is, do I need to buy it and does it cost money to install firewire on my computer, is there anyway to bet the video transfer done?

If you want the best quality, use a firewire transfer. Otherwise, go online and see if panasonic's website has the driver. But you will need the software as well, because movie maker only supports firewire transfer. If you want to get firewire, you need a firewire port. If you have one, great, if not, you can get an adapter card at an electronics store for probably $50 or less. Then get a firewire cable for $10, and plug it into your computer, and it should work. I believed when Panasonic replied that there is no vista compatibility, they're referring to the editing software that came with the camcorder. If you use firewire (which you should use to transfer video, and not USB), you can use Windows Movie Maker or many other software like Pinnacle and ULead, to transfer the video to your VISTA computer. Firewire on Vista does not need special driver specific to Panasonic. Just get a Vista compatible firewire card.
