can you get mini dv tapes onto the computer somehow? i got a mini dv recorder for christmas, and it doesnt have a usb port, is there any way to get my videos, or to get them transferred on to a digital disk from the tape?

You need a firewire cable. If your computer doesnt have a firewire port, get an adapter card at an electronics store or online for $50 or less. Plug in the cable, open up movie maker or imovie, and click capture. Hope this helps!

there is some socket to ur cam
a special wire is come with ur cam which connect in that socket
and at other end it have usb coonection which u connect on ur usb port of computer
if u do not have that wire then ask in shop wire for ur dv recorder
