There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......

(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

love is a feeling you get. If you think you love a girl, and you think you want to marry her you have to be careful. Marriage is a promise to stay together for ever, through better or for WORSE. Love is a feeling you get sometimes and then sometimes it fades away. Do not base a marriage on love alone because you will, at some time or other not "feel the same" about her. Love is an important aspect of your feelings, but don't forget to let your mind override your feelings, and to think things through because you never know what's around the corner.

I´d like to give you an answer. I´ve often tried to describe that strong feeling of love, but I´m not able to. There are so many different kinds and ways of love - and though love is love ...

Just saw Mett Joe Black, which makes my point very well.
You gotta have the otehr person's best interest in mind beofre your own.
You gotta be able to let go if that's what the person needs, give space, or hold on tighter, even when they're falling apart.
You've gotta be selfless, not selfish.

A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness. (dic. defintion)

Though from a girls point of view, when you have love there are really no words to express it. When you have it, you handle it with care and do anything to keep it. Hope that helps:]]

What is love
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
No more
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
No more
What is love

Oh I don't know
Why you're not fair
I give you my love
But you don't care
So what is right
And what is wrong
Give me a sign

[CHORUS:]
What is love
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
No more
What is love
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
No more

Oh I don't know
What can I do
What else can I say
It's up to you
I know we're one
Just me and you
I can't go on

[CHORUS]

I want no other
No other love
This is your life
our time
When we are together
I need you forever
Is it love

No words can describe it. You can try.. but sometimes it seems so pointless where all you say its just love.

most people don't know what it is. i don't even know what it is. the only way to find out what it means is to find it. most people will say strong feelings for some one. it is much more than that. so all you have to do is find the person that god has sent for u to have true love with. so good luck

Love never changes, it's never less and it's never more... it's constant.

If you ever say you love someone more, it means you never loved them enough in the beginning.
