You might have better luck finding other homeschoolers by locating a homeschool support group, either on the state level or more local. Try doing a search online. You'll find that there are too many unsympathetic ears here who will try to convince you that the slightest fault on your part is to the detriment of your children and they 'need' to be in school. ;)

I home school all three of my daughters. Technically, only two of them are being educated right now- the 8 year old and the 4 year old. We live in Highland County, 70 miles east of Cincinnati. I just use whatever books I can find at Walmart for the Preschool- First Grades, then I buy reconditioned school text books from a place online. My husband and I are both law enforcement officers. I have resigned in order to teach our children at home because I don't want to run the risk of having my children exposed to the horrible things which are occurring with more frequency in both public and private/parochial schools. Feel free to e-mail me if you wish.

It really depends on your state. In most regions the parent oversees the homeschool but this can mean that they direct the child to be tutored by other people as part of a plan they design.

Hi, me and my brothers are/were homeschooled since I was about 10. My brothers are both out of highschool now though. I go to Treca Digital Academy, based in Marion, Oh. Don't listen to those people who say homeschooling is bad; we're turning out just fine.

If you insist on homeschooling, you really should have contact with other families who insist also. Your child needs to be around other children and adults to see how they learn and adapt to situations. They need to learn to share and how to deal with other kids or when they get older they will be awkward, sheltered, and unable to cope with the real world with its many different kinds of people.

" area homeschool there kids?" its "their" kids not "there" I DO NOT think you should be home schooling anyone. Send your poor kids to a real school.
