Start studying science, math, and english now. You will need those skills later on. In high school, take every biology class you can. Your academic advisor will help you select classes that help you towards your goal.

In college, you'll need earn a bachelor's degree first before you can get admitted to medical school. Your academic advisor in high school can help you pick colleges to apply to also.

In college, you'll have a set curriculum, or set of classes, that you'll need to earn your bachelor's degree. You will need to do very well in them to get into medical school.

In medical school, you'll have more classes that are defined for you to take, plus other electives that will help in whatever field you want to specialize in.

After medical school, you'll work as an intern, getting experience in a hospital or series of hospitals.

In all, you'll have about 10 years of education AFTER you finish high school - more for some specialties. It's a long, hard program, but it can be done if you're willing to work hard at it. Good luck!

No subject how a lot a Doctor is aware of, there's continually whatever to study. The real spirit of the Hippocratic Oath is for an M.D. to continually be open to studying whatever new from each and every sufferer dealt with. Also, there are new trends in Medicine day-to-day. Ideally a Doctor is fitting a greater health care provider continuously by way of a life-time within the career. So a Doctor is continually training, irrespective of how lengthy considering the measure.

Yes, I have a great book for you. It describes not just the Spanish Flu, but goes into the history of medicine in the US. How and why the first medical universities were set up. Why they required german as a second languange. It describes the first and best doctors and the character of what it takes to become a doctor in those days versus now. I think it will inspire you if you can read it at your age.

You need to develop study discipline. You don't need to be a genius, but you need to be willing to study hard and get good grades. You need the basic educational tools, reading, writing and math. In high school take college prep classes. In college you will need a four year degree although it does NOT have to be in science. HOWEVER you do need to take basic science classes.

It's called "college". Then medical school, then internship. You need about 12 years of your education after highschool to study. You cannot learn from just books.
