I've been keeping in touch with this guy for about seven years now.(long distance) For about the last 3 or 4 months we've been talking more and trying to see each other more. So here's the thing. During phone conversations, he refers to me as his best friend. That's cool and all, but when he comes to see me, he wants sex (he ain't got it yet). And just recently on the phone, he got jealous because there was a guy at my house. Honestly, I want to be with him but I don't know how to come at him. Ladies, how do I come at this dude? And men, tell me something.

depends on the guy's age.

My guess, he is having sex with someone else, and is seeing you only when he can't get any.

Also, long distance relationships very rarely work.

It's really up to you. If you want to be considered a friend with benefits then go ahead and do it. Jealousy is a waste of time and if he's already jealous and you're not even dating then you should make that clear to him. It would be different if you two were actually dating and even then jealousy is just another form of selfishness and insecurity. Be careful and good luck.

he seems to be a bit confused. it seems to me that no committment has been made so he has no reason or right to get jealous. ask him what he wants to happen...and you let him know what you want. if it seems that he is leading you on or confused...take that as a hint and distance yourself. situations like that don't end up good. the reason why I am taking a defensive sort of stance is because he is referring to you as a friend but expecting more than friends get. make sure he knows where you are coming from.

He doesn't respect you. Make sure you respect yourself and lose him. You need someone who knows how to treat you right.

I come at him straight in his face with,

"What the hell are we anyway, are you keeping me in line to be your backup girlfriend"?
