Ostrich meat is a excellent source of protein and extremely low in fat an cholesterol.A good red meat is Buffalo meat.It has less fat and cholesterol than even chicken or turkey. It tastes so much better than beef and doesn't have all the steroids.

Since emu and ostrich are somewhat related, I would assume their meat probably has pretty close to the same flavour. I would eat ostrich because I have eaten emu and it is excellent.

Yes I have and it's one of the few 'specialty meats' that does NOT taste like chicken!
It tastes like beef! And where's the beef? it's in the Ostrich!
I believe it has 1/2 the fat and 1/3 the cholesterol of beef.
And you can pluck your teeth with it's fleathers!

I have prepared Ostrich, as burgers. They are very good, but I want to warn you that the raw meat has a strange gamy smell to it. It almost smells like it is off, but that's just the smell of it. If you are going to make burgers, remember to grease your skillet or grill so it doesn't stick. It doesn't have a lot of fat like beef.
It's good and a fun way to eat healthier. I thought my father was CRAZY when he bought it but it tasted good.

I would like to taste it first then form an opinion then decide if I like it enough to eat it on a regular basis. I like bison so I would probably like ostrich meat also.

Yes! I used to serve it at my restaurant. It's tastes just like steak, but better. And it's lower in fat and cholesterol. It was hard to make the customers try it since they thought it was white meat, but when they did they loved it!

Yes I would. It's probably good. Meat eaters eat all kinds of other animals so why not. We eat cow, deer, frog, duck, chicken etc.

I have never tried it because I don't know where they sell it. However, I wouldn't mind trying it, as many people say that it is good for you and tastes good.
