My husband’s boss gave him a digital camera but he didn’t have any of the cords, the software, or anything that came with the camera.. So we aren’t actually able to use the camera because we have none of the assessories to use it. I looked on bestbuys website because they have an area where you can search for the parts for you electronics but DXG was not listed as a brand. I also looked at Circuit City where they actually do sell the DXG digital camera and they didn’t have the brand listed for finding parts either. So I’m at a loss. What should I do? Just pitch the camera and buy a new one or does anyone know of where to find these parts at???

I found a review site for your camera. If you look down the page a ways, you will find several user comments. Some of them include links to DXG and the DXG Tech Support. Perhaps you can get the information you need to properly use your camera at one of those sites. Check this out at the link I listed below under "source."

This will help you learn how to use all the features of your camera, but you still won't have a USB cable or software. I see some selling on eBay for such ridiculously low amounts that, if you like the camera, you might want to buy one just to get the manual and stuff along with a spare camera!

If you can't find the software and USB cable, consider buying a card reader instead. This will work with any camera you buy in the future, as well. Be sure that you are using an SD memory card and not the camera's internal memory.

If you get a card reader, no additional software is necessary. This is not only faster, but it saves your camera batteries. Your computer or printer may even have a card reader built into it. I have enough USB ports that I just leave it plugged in all the time.

First of all, be sure there are some pictures on the card. Plug the card reader into an open USB port. Plug the card into the appropriate slot on your card reader. I use Photoshop Elements and as soon as I plug my card into the reader, it starts its own card reader and displays a thumbnail of every picture on the card.

If this does not happen automatically, open your photo editing software. Do whatever you usually do to open a file, but click on the selector where you can change drives. Your card reader will be assigned a new drive name that will be one letter higher than you ever saw before, such as "Drive G:" or such. Then, just double click on the name of the file you want to open and it will appear in your photo editor.

Just get a card reader, then you bypass the software and cables. Or see if your computer or printer already has one on it.
