We're looking at re-homing an adult golden retriever - can anyone give me a ball park figure for the cost of keeping one? ie weekly/monthly costs for food, pet insurance etc. Also can anyone recommend a UK pet insurer?

Thanks

Depending on how far you want to push the boat out.... complete dry dog food is generally better for the dog and your pocket ranging from £10 - £45 for a 15kg bag which will last you up to 6wks.
pet insurance average of £14 per month, general vet bills IE.booster, flea and worm treatment £75+ per year.
A good vacuum cleaner is also recommended!!
Excellent choice of dog, full of love and laughter.

Don't skimp on the cost of food , it is your dogs health that you should consider, better quality food means less in vet bills !
Good joyce of breed as long as he had no trauma in his life,be patient ! Have fun, good luck
