Hm, I would have to go with... everything is not correctly hooked up... Why don't you take it to an Al & Eds or a Best Buy or Circuit City... Somewhere local that they can diagnose the problem properly for you, I wouldnt go messing around wires if you dont know what you are doing. Good luck.

Check the mute button, or "ATT" function, and make sure it's turned off. Also, check your connections where you hooked the wiring up on the back of the deck. Make sure there's no split wires or wires not tied properly. If you used butt-connectors (wire in each end, crimp both sides), make sure that you didn't crimp off the connector too short.

If you're still not sure what's happening, you may need to take a 9volt battery, connect the speaker wires, pos and neg, to the battery and listen for the speaker to crackle. That'll tell you which speaker it goes to, and if the wirings functional in that speaker. You may need to run seperate wires to the speakers back to the deck's wiring, if there's no sound.

Does your unit have a mute button stuck on.?
Speaker system must have proper resistance load for it to work. Speakers could be blown?
Hard telling not knowing what you actually put in.
Make sure you got you wires goin the right places - speakers are polarity sensitive.
Good luck

you connected the power to your speakers.. insulate uneeded wires, dont connect them together. make sure you dont have a hidden wire shoved into a jack, many wirring harnesses are sold used and a previous owner may have gotten frustrated or didnt know what he was doint and shoved a wire into the plastic connecting plug. if you did connect a power wire to a speaker wire and you have an automatic antenna, then take the power wire and connect it to your antenna, or insulate the tip of it since you dont need it. most harnesses are universal so it may have extra unneeded wires
