I agree also, we wanted to watch it first. :) Now that we watched it we are gonna let others watch it. There is an Elder here in our congregation that has been wanting to watch it. LOL :)

Questions like this imply that Jehovah's Witnesses are interested in becoming popular, but that is simply not true. The ONLY opinions of ongoing interest to a true Witness are those of Jehovah and Christ Jesus. Those who work to ingratiate themselves with some human or human group are not doing God's will.
(1 Thessalonians 2:4) We speak, as pleasing, not men, but God, who makes proof of our hearts.
(Matthew 6:20,21) Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven... For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Jehovah's Witnesses have the true religion. They are Christian (of course), but they are unique for their rejection of paganisms, use of God's personal name, and global preaching by every active adherent. No other religious organization can claim such purity of worship.
These facts about Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps relevant to this question. The more one compares this Christian religion with others, the more remarkable it is shown to be.
1. Jehovah's Witnesses have no paid clergy. Yet they remain tightly organized with more than 6.5 million active Jehovah's Witness preachers (about 16 million associate themselves with the religion). Even fulltime preachers and workers at their branch offices are unpaid volunteers.
2. There is no elite class among Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the few 'anointed' among them enjoy no special privileges in their congregations on earth. An anointed person (one of those relative few with a heavenly hope) is not elevated above his fellow congregants in any way, and he may not even qualify for appointment as a simple 'deacon' or elder. There are no titles; EVERYONE is addressed as 'brother' or 'sister'.
3. No person benefits economically from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the 8 to 20 men who serve on their Governing Body receive simply room, board, medical care, and reimbursement for certain personal expenses according to the exact same provision as every other branch volunteer.
4. About a hundred men have served on Jehovah's Witnesses' Governing Body committee during the past 125 years or so. The vast majority of them have spent the vast majority of their adult lives volunteering for their organization's purposes, and the vast majority have died faithfully and near-pennilessly while still under their legal 'vow of poverty'.
5. Amazingly, Jehovah's Witnesses did not splinter as a sect from some other religion. Instead, a truly tiny but sincere group of bible students studied only the Scriptures to determine the will of God. Thus their religion remains absolutely independent of and not carrying the sins of Christendom's history, yet carries the authority of Christ's teachings.
6. Despite the distortions of anti-Witnesses, throughout their modern history Jehovah's Witnesses have refused to claim divine inspiration or infallibility for their teachings. They have pointed to the bible (and not any particular translation) as the only inspired infallible means of knowing God's thoughts. For over 125 years, their teachings have been presented as merely the results of sincere bible research by imperfect but godly humans.

Miss Momma, we don't think we are higher than others.
Yes we also believe that Jesus Chirst is the son of the true God.
We knock on doors because Christians are commanded to go door to door.
Commanded to Preach:
Matthew 24:14 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
Jesus disciples: Acts 5:42; And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.
Jesus talking: Acts 20:20; while I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house
We are ordered to preach: Acts 20:42; Also, he ordered us to preach to the people and to give a thorough witness that this is the One decreed by God to be judge of the living and the dead
Matthew 28:18,19,20 And Jesus approached and spoke to them saying “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth, 19 God therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you
And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.
Acts 10:42 Also he ordered us to preach to the people and to give a thorough witness
2Timothy 4:2 preach the word, be at t urgently in favorably season, in troublesome season

I bought the DVD and have watched it. It is very fair, and quite interesting. I especially enjoyed the "Extras" such as the interviews, etc.
It was obvious that these were real people with real families and real problems.
Everyone I've shown my copy to has aprreciated it.
(I wanted to watch it before recommending it to others, but now I feel free to recommend it to anyone.)
I understand it is to air on PBS on May 22, 2007.

ADDED: Jesus is divine in that he is Jehovah's Son, in fact the Bible refers to him as the exact image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4; Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 1:3)
The bible does not teach, however, that he IS the one and only true Almighty God. John 17:3 makes a clear distinction.

Hello, I'm not actually answering this message really. But I write you in case you truly are a JW and not an apostate, I wont go into the long story of how I found you but you know the assemblies and conventions have REPEATEDLY told us to stay out of these kinds of blogs, they are very simular to chat rooms and allow apostate thinking and worldly influence to possibly question ourselves. How do you know you are writing a witness or and apostate, like right now? Although I have checked your bio out and believe you trying to do the right thing, we have been warned about these kinds of sites!!! PLease, if you are strong in the truth, stay that way and keep from putting yourself in such a comprimisng situation. If you think I'm full of it, talk to an elder in your hall or a circut overseer, even write the society, don't take my word for it. Definetly pray to Jehovah about it. There are other forms of the ministry we can partake in. Anyway, I hope the best for you...
Ps- I'm not wanting to sound like a hypocrite, I happen to have seen my sister in here on this Q and wanted to remind you (as well as her) of what we have been warned about.

If "jw's" ever take heed unto the exhortion to "set your affections on things above" then just maybe they might "see" The Kingdom of GOD!
The Gospel was "The Kingdom of GOD is at hand".......
And after the destruction of jerusalem The Gospel became "The Kingdom of GOD IS, and always will BE". Yes NOW! Heavenly not earthly, of The Spirit not the natural, Forever not temporal, Life not death.......period.......
And, while there is breath(spirit) there is hope!
For Miracles do happen!
Hope is there would be those who experience The Miracle that is "receiving a love of The Truth" for they will quit having their portion with those "whose god is their bellies because they mind earthly things", and they will follow The Messiah on "The Way to The Truth of The Life"....... Onward and Upward!
Peace, in spite of the dis-ease(no-peace) that is of this world and the "strong delusion" that is it's religious systems.......

If you're asking what do people think of JW's knocking on doors, passing out a lot of literature advertising their church, I'll have to say I don't appreciate it at all.
Anyone interested in learning about your, or any other church will seek you out.
