May be this info helps: My TV does not turn on directly, when I switch it on it goes to stand by mode and from there I have to turn it on by pressing any key.

The audio comes almost instantly, only the picture takes 10 seconds or so to come !!

Right now I would just call it a nuisance, but it might be a sign that your TV is going out. You could contact a repair man but it cases like this it is sometimes better to buy a new TV.

Is this a CRT TV or a flat-panel TV?
New TVs do need more time to boot and 10 s is not unusual.

Lots of new TVs have also a fast start-up mode (consumes more energy in stand by) and a slower boot-up mode (Energy star mode).
Check your TV settings, maybe by accident you enabled the slower boot-up mode.
