I have chronic pain and have been treated with 50mg a day of norco for a loose bone plate in my skull and temporalis muscle. Yesterday We wrapped our car around a tree at 50 mph (side impact crash) I smacked my head the bad side that has acrylic implants and i have sever neck, back, hip, leg and arm pain. sever!! When I follwoed up my doctor today he refused to increase my medicine. He said migrain pain is worse than accident pain and the accused me of lying because I said it feels better to sit and lean forward not lay flat on my back. He will not do anything but call in flexeril which sucks I dont know wtf todo of course i know i wont be able to take it any longer and will have to back to the er but then i bet they will accuse me of lying also...age discrimiation since i am young they act weird about treating my pain. The doctor also said the following:
-Does not make sense that leanng forward lessens pain
-migrain pain is worse than any accident pain
- somas do not work for head

I dont know what to do omfg I am in the biggest pain ever what should I do seems i have my hand tied behind my back and its MLK day and no ones open. The doc also got pissed and is now stopping my treatment with norcos why I dont know I think maybe i will have to chekc my self in to menatl health ward ia m serious wtf

WELL AFTER 2 YEARS OF OPIATE TREATMENT I HAVE FOR THE FIRST TIME NOT FOLLOWED THR SCRIPT. I AM TAKEING 1 1/2 EVERY 4 HR RATHER THAN ONE. I HAVE A PEFECT TRACK RECORD AND NOT ONE SUNGLE TIME HAVE I EVER ABUSED, CALLED IN EALRY OR TRIED TO PULL CRAP. I AM IN SERIOUS LONG TERM CHRONIC PAIN AND NOW WITH THE ACCIDENT I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO BUT INCREASE THE DOSE MYSELF. AT 11/2 MY LIVER WILL BE OK WHATS IMPORTNANT NOW IS MY METAL HEALTH CUZ I AM ABOUT TO GO BNUTS I HAVNT SLEPT SINCE THE ACCIDENT YESTERDAY AND NOT EVEN FOR SECOND. I think you should go back to that doctor and threaten to make a complaint with the College or Board of Suergeons. It's his job to treat pain. What is wrong with doctors these days? There is no reason for anybody to be in pain. There is lots of different medication out there. I suggest you ask to get a refferal to a pain clinic. That doctor is only scared of losing his license because of prescribing narcotics to young people who sell them. You need to get it though his head that he is equally liable for not prescribing them. People whoh are trully in pain are do not get high. They just get pain releif and some rest to sleep and function. Get a new doctor.
PS. The fact that you are depressed makes me believe you are telling the truth. I've been in pain from burns and pain is very depressing. Anybody who is not depressed is not in pain.

First I would need to know what kind of doc is giving you the norco. If it is a pain management doc it will be difficult to get anyone else to give you anything. All doctors now are in touch with each other thanks to the net. So if he throws up a red flag it will be rough going. Did he think you were not telling the truth about car accident or what. Sounds like you now have a back problem. Your best bet would be to go to a walk in clinic. Explain to them you are in between doctors right now and you need help. Due to crash. Your reg. doc must think you are having some type of muscle problems to want to give flexeril. Did he run any test or x-rays. You may have some really bad injuries. That being said thats when you get a lawyer. Migrain pain is nasty but so is nerve pain in your back. Hit the clinic I think thats your best bet or try the ER. You should be looked at no matter what. Let them know your norco is not touching the pain. I've been there and done that. Norco, morphine and yes flexiril. Guess what it still f ing hurts but thats the best they can do for now. I gave up drinking because I knew I would become a drunk 24/7. 6 shots of teqillya does terrific, but you can't be drunk and function 24/7.

You need to be referred to a pain clinic. That and to get rid of that idiot doctor.
Any painlasting more than 6 months is chronic pain, which means that you should be referred to a pain clinic Here's the good news - any of your doctors can refer you to a pain clinic.

go back to the ER tell them your story and get sometreatment. and if this keeps on going on with your ******** doctor then get your medical records from the hospital and take him to court. you shouldnt be treated this way. hope you feel better soon.

there's nothing here to suggest malpractice..if you do not like what your doctor is saying to you find a new doctor and get a second opinion....age discrimination?? doesn't sound like it...find a new doc...as for demanding to be admitted,might find yourself admitted to the psych ward but if you say you are suicidal or homicidal i would think that would warent an admission
