someone told me chinese language is the most popular language
in the world. the mos recorgnising language on earth, need to know if thats true. because i always know english spanish and french are the most popular languages in the world, but not chinese.

yeah but just because people in one country is speaking it, it doesn't mean it's the most popular. Spanish and English I believe is.

Try English. More people study it than any other language. Only the French would argue that it is a widely spoken language. The Chinese like to say that all the billion or so people in China speak Mandarin Chinese so it is the most spoken language. It probably is, but a lot of people in China don't speak Mandarin all that well.

It is the most spoken language in the world. About 1/5 of people speak Chinese as their native language. This is because China is the world's most populous nation.

I think they are looking at it for the sheer size of the population of China. However I do believe that English is. I would bet more people in China know English then the other way around. We Americans are lazy and do not wish to learn any other language :)

chinese (if on includes all the various dialects) is by far the most spoken native language. English, as the language of international business and travel, and French, as the accepted language of diplomacy follow.
