Anyone know where you can buy salt or sodium tablets in the midlands and yes I know you shouldn't have too much salt only I have a condition where I don't produce enough have been advised by GP to put more salt on food only this makes me thirsty so I drink more which also effects my condition so thought if a tablet was taken then it would be in my stomach rather than mouth and wouldn't get as thirsty Thanks

They are readily available at any pharmacy over the counter and usually even at grocery stores.

In 5 years of trying, I've yet to find a source. I have to excessively salt my foods... as I too have a salt condition. A University Hospital study on men with lower back troubles, showed 25% needed more salt. There is no test to determine this condition. If you sweat excessively and get light headed, that is a sign. Add L4/5 trouble... that is a sure sign. Good luck... I am still searching.

I would suggest you find out exactly how much salt your body needs and the measure that exact amount out and consume it in drink of water, buying tablets will then be unneccessary. Do not forget to reduce the amount of salt by what you may consume in other foods.

You'll still get thirsty-sorry- so would stick to putting extra on your food. You will have to drink more anyway because salt will gradually dehydrate you, I'm sure you know this anyway. Wish I had an excuse to put more salt on my food, I love it!!!

You say they are readily available, but I've tried pharmacies and grocery stores and they are no longer readily available. Internet search came up with this thread.

I don't know if there's such a thing as salt tablets, but if they do exist they'd be in holland + barratt or your local chemists.
