All hooved animals are related. As best I can tell camels and llamas seperated into their own branch pretty early in the evolution of all hooved animals. Past that they evolved as all mammals did (including humans) from some little rodent looking animal that survived whatever killed off the dino's.

i am not sure but i know that giraffes are from the same group, the latin name for the giraffe is cameleopardis
