Exercise even if it is just taking a walk is a great way to reduce stress. Surround yourself with positive people and beautiful things. Stay away from drugs and alcohol. Learn a dance. Get involved in things that you enjoy doing such as gardening, fishing etc. Take a bubble bath. Allow yourself sometime everyday to just unwind. Try not to think of everyday problems at night. Set a time for problem solving during the day. I also found self relaxation hypnosis tapes and yoga very helpful.

Make a list of things that bring you joy and relaxation. Try to take part in those things as much as possible so you are getting regular "down time". Can you identify specific things in your life that worry you? If you can, see if there is anything you can do to change them. If you can't change them, the worry is not productive. Exercise is a great stress reducer, also. So are fun outings with family and friends. Finally, if you feel that you cannot remedy your stress and worry on your own, see your doctor. There are great meds now that can calm some of the overactive brain impulses that cause worry. These meds do not make you feel drugged or out of it, so don't be hesitant to talk to you doctor. Good luck and be happy.

I am bery high strung as well. My boyfriend is actually the one who taught me this. Everytime you worry or stress about someting ask yourself two questions. 1) Is there anything you can do about it? 2)What is your stress going to contribute to the situatin? If there is nothing you can do about it, then relax, stop thinking about it. No matter what you do, the end result is going to be the same.
Good Luck!!!

Exercise is a good way to relieve stress. Go for a jog, or ride a bike.
There's always Mary Jane, but it's illegal, and unhealthy (like most things that actually work).
