I have a little sister and she is six. I also have a neice ( my husbands sister's daughter) and she is 11. They get along well and love to visit each other.
I was wondering that the correct term would be for the family relationship between a maternal sister ( mine) and a materinal neice ( his). Like I know if I had a child they would be my sisters neice/nephew but what if my sister in law has a child what would she be to my sister.
She use to call her cousin, and my neice use to ask me all the time what my sister would be to her.. and I didnt know.

Any ideas?

Technically, there is no relationship title between your sister and your husband's niece. There is no relationship title between your sister and your husband's niece. If you sister-in-law has a child there is not relationship title between the baby and your sister.

However, in some families that are close, they continue to call the family members the same as if they were the blood relation or the in-law. In that case, if your sister-in-law had a child then your sister could call the baby her niece.

convinced, this kind of courting is achieveable, because i have experienced it. I gave examples lower than, the brother/sister pal is the first celebration. jointly, there'll always be some type of sexual/love concepts floating round, regardless of in the experience that they under no circumstances seem outdoors of one's own concepts. you want to entice close adventure, so right it is mine. I undergo in concepts one male pal I had even as i grow to be a young person. I under no circumstances had any pastime in this guy, he grow to be an rather astounding human being, smart, pleasant, and humorous. I knew him for form of two years, so the in trouble-free words time we had grow to be to advance a brother/sister courting. Had we huge-spread one yet another for longer, per chance different issues would have stepped ahead. you observe, with each and each close male pal i have ever had, there has been some sexual pressure to at least one degree or yet another. there is one i recognize, and we've under no circumstances achieved some thing actual, yet we did like one yet another very a lot at one time, and were pondering courtship, yet we did not do this for the period of any case. I fell in love with him on the time, and it grow to be organic love because it did not sprout from any actual contact, no. when you consider that then, i have had different male pastimes and he's now married with little ones, notwithstanding the reality is that I under no circumstances fell with him. I nevertheless have emotions for him, yet i do not tell him. I appreciate his marriage and relatives. As for the different close male pals i have had, some I truly have kissed, and with others it grow to be more suitable than kissing. it is a few thing i'm no longer happy with, and alhamdulillah i ended this habit 14 years in the past. i will under no circumstances go back to that, it truly is shameful. If i'm no longer on the fringe of a male, and we are only friends, then no, there is not any sexual pressure.

your little sister and his sisters daughter(neice) The correct term would be that they are 1st cousins by marriage. If your sister has a child her child would be your neices 3rd cousin on your husbands side of the family by marriage. Theirs really no legal term its all complicated. You, your mom, dad, and, and sister are immediate family. Your husbands brothers and sisters and parents are his immediate family. You, your daughter and him, are your immediate family theirs no blood line relation with members of his family and yours unless your husbands related to you.

Cousins are those who have two of the same grandparents. When cousins descend from common ancestors by a different number of generations they are called “removed.”

Here's a great chart to help you figure it all out:
